Refund on Wealth Dragons Course - {Edited by Forum team}

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me. I went to a free seminar last week by the Wealth Dragons, and felt pressured to buy a 3 day training course at the event. Subsequently I have received emails offering the training for a 50-90% discount. I feel completely conned as I paid a lot of money, but now the course is heavily discounted just 24 hours later. I also felt very pressured on the day, and do not want to attend, the course is in July.

I paid on my debit card. Can I get a refund because it's not goods, but a training course, and also because I paid on my debit card? Any help would be very welcome. Today has been 2 business days since the event.

You might need to find out in court, there are a few factors -

The signing was away from the seminar company's usual place of business, I imagine. With goods, that would usually allow for some coming off period.
They may have a right to withhold some of the fee/deposit if they can demonstrate that they in good faith incurred costs reselling the place.
But then again, the closest similar situation might be a concert ticket, and that's outside the scope of some consumer protection regs.

You could always ask them to refund 90% and go on the course? I always take these with a hefty pinch of salt, though. If they knew the secret to easy millions, why are they selling expensive seminars instead of sitting on their solid gold yachts? You guessed it, the seminar IS the money. I remember seeing one of these blokes who parked a new roller out the front of the crappy venue to use as a 'I wished for this and made it happen' prop. I know for a fact it was financed up to the eyeballs, not so impressive now when you know he's paying extortionate interest rates for the illusion of ready wealth, with the money actually coming from selling seminars to mugs.

A training course is a service and still subject to a cooling off period.

Hi, May I ask if you got your refund successfully? I went to a wealth dragons seminar around 3 years ago and felt extremely pressured to buy too. The only reason why I couldn't was they wanted £8k off me and said I could easily make that back within 6 months. I'm glad I didn't have it as I would have been 8k in debt by now. Looking forward to your response.

    Regards,

I would report them to Trading Standards and Citizens Advice Bureau. You can still report them even if it's a few years ago. Lots of people have been disappointed with their mentorship scheme of 12k - promising to propel their businesses and make them rich, in fact they encourage you to borrow the money, get into debt and you'll be poor.

Unfortunately, your advice will fall on deaf ears, the OP hasn't returned since their last post two years ago.
  • hi all,

I also have burned from JOHN LEE @ Wealth Dragons. I can't believe how good he is at selling dreams.
    he promised millions.

i paid nearly 3000, but half of the time he was pushing with his testimonials (half of them are bough for sure!!!) to op in for another training- meet up once a month,so 12 meetings for 12.500

he told he is paid from 100 000 a day

GRRRRR what a lie. So why would he bother doing marketing bootcamps, a.Tell me????JOHN. Don't hide your !!!

he said he sell s this for 25 000, but ONLY today he offers for 12 and a half thousand paunds....This is so stupid

i have never signed up for another training
JOHN LEE and all his team at WEALTH DRAGONS are a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he has never even delivered what he has promised on the first training....and there were people in the group who actually borrowed the money, those over 12 000

    How can he do it????
and he actually was congratulation them for making an ACTION....and said these people ACHIEVE a LOT in life and BUSINESS.

Gosh, he makes people feel excited about millions being on the way...but unfortunately he puts them into debts...
so do you think say he had 40 people in the group- all of them be millionaires. Good morning, John

I can't believe how people fall for this

Does anyone know how and is there a chance to get my 3 K back for 3 day course i did, which was absolutely USELESS????? and what he gave us ont he list, was NEVER DELIVERED

so people, if he lied them even if you pay him 12 thousand- he is not going to deliver, to make everybody millionaire is impossible!!!

    Do a little research...

    JOHN LEE MONEY STRATEGY

he pays thousands for ads- so he has following, and with the following he makes people trust and buy from him

Anyone has a luck getting money back for undelivered 3 day bootcamp, please?

I was wondering if i contacted and reported Wealth Dragons Trading Stan darts & Citizens Advice Bureau? would that bring me any luck.

Please share if anybody has any luck getting MONEY back from scam JOHN LEE (Milton Keynes)
