EE PAYG Talk and Text

I recently bought a EE PAYG Talk and Text sim card, which says you have 250 mins talk time. Could someone on here explain any 'hidden' costs when phoning a landline, as I have noticed talk of 'access charges' etc.

Thanks

    Define 'landline'.
No hidden costs for normal landline numbers: 01, 02, 03. Neither for 080.
    However, 084, 087, 09, 118 numbers aren't 'mobile', but normally aren't covered by allowances.

Numbers beginning '01' then the area code. So sounds like these are included in the talk and text then.

Might seem like a basic question, but better to ask and find out, then not and get a shock!!

    Inclusive allowances include:
    - geographic numbers starting 01 (except Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man) and 02,
    - non-geographic numbers starting 03,
    - mobile numbers starting 071-075 and 077-079 (except Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man).

    The allowance will not cover:
    - landline and mobile numbers in Jersey, Guernsey or Isle of Man,
    - non-standard numbers starting 055, 056 or 076,
    - personal numbers starting 070,
    - premium numbers starting 084, 087 or 09,
    - calls to police 101 (look up the alternative 01, 02 or 03 number on the police website),
    - directory enquiries starting 118,
    - mobile shortcodes,
    - international destinations.

Numbers starting 080 or 116 are free on all networks.
Access numbers such as 105, 111, 112 and 999 are free on all networks.

Customer services, financial services and public services are no longer allowed to use numbers starting 084, 087 or 09. Most have swapped to 03 or 080 numbers.

You can understand why people get confused as EE dont make it clear what type of calls are included in minutes.EG They just say 250 minutes.

Ofcom rules require they spell out exactly what is included in allowances, detail significant exclusions (such as numbers in CI and IoM), and state the cost of calling personal numbers starting 070 and the Access Charge for calls to 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers.
