If I were to tell you that Lorraine has been a member of a much longer running comping community than MSE would you be surprised? MSE isn't the only community in comping and you guys didn't invent comping either. Anyone dropping in here and reading all the posts that you guys post every day might well think it's a get rich scheme and it also gives false hope. You, yourself have posted over 27,000 times Toniq. Let's take just 10% of that - and let's assume that's all comp related - and you're gobbing off about about others. You even say post in "I won" and you won't be eaten alive - what's the difference? Does this mean - if you post in our forum of wins, which is read by thousands, that's ok - but don't say anything in the press because that's not ok? :(

I haven't discussed this lady, I have discussed how the press make out comping is a get rich quick scheme and many people think it is a way out of their issues or will sort their problems out.

I've seen another comper end up ill and upset through the attacks she rec'd when she went public.

My posts were regarding the press distorting the facts. The way the article read 5 comps a day can win you a list of luxuries, it can't.

Good luck and well done to the lady in question.

I'm sorry - could you please show me where I have been rude? I feel I have put across my points in a well-mannered and polite way. If you really mean my opinions haven't matched others, then I can accept that. But if you are saying because I've not joined in with the slagging off of another comper like others have been doing then I respectfully suggest you direct your opinion their way. As for being ahead - truth and honesty will always overtake assumption and speculation. P.S Adding more than one exclamation mark doesn't make your point any stronger btw :)

You're obviously a friend of the lady, but you seem to be under the impression people are mocking her, no they are mocking the article, an article which states low number of comps brings a wealth of goodies, which it simply doesn't.

Like you have your view others here have had their view on a newspaper article.

Mansey was trying to be helpful to you.

Anyway we are going around in circles, I'll agree to disagree.

People haven't read the article correctly at all. It doesn't say she wins all that stuff by entering 5 only comps a day. it says she's won over 500 comps dating back to the early nineties. She only enters 5-10 a day NOW. Most compers who have been comping for years can tally up to that amount quite easily. Many of you guys do it quite easily nowadays yourselves. You said - keep quiet about comping but yet talk about your wins/entries etc every day . I'm failing to understand the difference.

I don't talk about my wins everyday?

I hardly ever post my wins, I thank the posters privately if the win is from here..And my comments aren't over jealousy, I approx won over £18,000 last year.

Not sure if you read the previous articles when other compers had their stories printed the posts from readers underneath were disgusting, things like, pay tax on it, bet you don't work, greedy etc. Hence my post.

I'm def bowing out now as we wont ever agree on this.

I'm failing to understand why you're so getting so worked up about it.

    Yes I know her.

Please read my other post - people have misunderstood the article.

I'm happy for you to agree to disagree - it's ok for people not to always think the same, and my opinion is as valid as the next guys. You may not like what I said but I have as much right to vocalise it as you do yours. :)

I'm not getting worked up - you guys raised the subject first if I recall. I'm merely putting across another opinion. :)
