OH's Samsung Galaxy S6 won't turn on. As of last night. Screen remains black. Tried charging and soft reset (pressed vol - and power buttons and held) and it made a chime and little blue square flashed briefly but then screen just went black again and will not display. Looking round the web gives no clue why this might happen. Phone is from EE on contract - started in June 2015 so still under warranty. If he takes it back to shop. will they give him a replacement?

Took it into shop who were unable to reset. OH spoke to customer services who agreed to replace it. This is in fact, OH points out, his second Galaxy S6 replacement under warranty in 9 months. Got original phone in June 2015, it bricked in October 2015. Now the replacement has black screen of death in March 2016. OH becoming disillusioned with Samsungs. On ;;plus side he has business plan and insurance to cover replacements.0
