Morning (((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Dull, but windy OH says it is trying to rain and I have a line of washing out, tough, if it does rain I will put it through the spin cycle again and hang it on the airers tonight.
Have another 2 loads to go, a dark wash and the bath towels, mats etc.
No plans for the day, will be taking it easy, got books from the mobile library yesterday, so I have something to read.
I am planning to make another quilt for our bed. The churn dash is beginning to show its age a bit, think it will be a scrappy Ohio Star so I need to go through my bits and strips box see what fabric I can find in there. Will work out how many blocks I need as well. Really should be sorting some of my UFO's..................
Belly pork casserole for supper tonight, veg from the garden.0 -

DUMPLING if I remember rightly isn't the Dartington Glass Factory at Torrington? I seem to remember going there many years ago when we were on holiday and thought the glass products were beautiful. Mind it was quite a while and they may have moved. It's a beautiful part of Devon though isn't it?
Yes it's still there, Torrington was the first place I lived when I moved to Devon and we used to visit the factory quite often as they used to do glass blowing which fascinated me and my daughter. I am biased but I think North Devon is absolutely gorgeous and I can't see me living anywhere else.0 -
Not biased pet, accurate! We had holidays for many years in Morthoe just above Woolacombe when I was younger, I love that part of the world, particularly walking the clifftops when there's one of those warm wet south westerlies blowing in the spring and the grass is full of wild flowers, magic!0

Morning all.
For the first time in i dont know how long i slept right through last night and i feel so much better for it this morning. Mind you i didnt go to bed till quite late (around midnight) so maybe that helped.
Cold but bright here and i'm watching a young man walking his dog very slowly round the field at the back of my house. From here i can see he is elderly. walking slowly with a bit of a limp but his tail is wagging and he is having a good sniff. Old he may be but he's happy. Its good to see.
I spent hours last night moving my family pictures out of Photobucket and into Google. Photobucket is unreliable for me, it always has been but its taking ages. Only another 700 to go.:(
Bright and sunny here but cold. I'm not going to see Mom today as i'm expecting deliveries.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Good morning all and thanks to NMLC I hope you get some news re your job soon and that it's positive .
A belated happy birthday to RR .
LAINEY I hope you manage to find something more deserving of you Gers , Candlelight and Jackie -and any others I've missed .Very positive results there ,well done to all .
DUMPLING Sounds like a lovely day yesterday . You seem more positive with each trip out .
AOD I eat very little meat nowadays although I do make a point of having meat or fish ( undyed haddock only ) about twice a week . I find vegetarian food much more interesting .
JUDI At last a good nights sleep :T
Another one here with grey , cold and miserable weather , horrible to see the rain back after a few cold but very sunny days . I had my porridge earlier and have just made a load of lentil ,carrot tomato and red pepper soup . A bowl of that will be lunch and the rest portioned for the freezer . I shall join NMLC and LYN and have a baked potato while watching the scottish farming programme early evening . To wet for washing so as I'm watching out for two seperate royal mail deliveries I'll give the lounge a deep clean .
Take care all ,

Ooh, that's on our list of places to visit this year, and to cycle the Tarka Trail. Walked some of trail when we had dogs a few years ago, beautiful part of the U.K.Carolbee0 -
I have made the pizza base and it is having a nice rise, house smells yeasty.
Pollyanna, I am afraid that my non-eating of meat is more connected to not liking it than health! I like fish and have that once or twice a week.
Must get meatyballs on the go. Garlic and chillies moment. Then will need to protect them from roaming humans until they get on their pieces of pizza.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Just a quick Hello from the library computer as I still only have landline at the new house.
There are unopened boxes all over the house, the sockets are weird so the under counter fridge has had to be plugged into the dining room. At least I have got to grips with the washing machine and cooker.
I have someone arranged to knock the two downstairs bedrooms into one big one and someone else is quoting for the bathroom as it is so mismattched and old it depresses me. Circa 1980 ish!!!!
The area is lovely and quiet and it feel right and peaceful here even though there is a lot I need to do to it but "the bones of it are good."
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

AOD if you don't like meat, I see no reason to force yourself to eat it. You're able to cook it for others, which is more than I can do.:o
I remember when Amber the cocker spaniel stayed for the weekend, she brought two little packets of raw mince with her, to be cooked for her dinners.:eek::eek: I nearly fainted! Thankfully, Mr LW stepped up to the plate and volunteered to cook them for her. :A
I haven't eaten meat or fish for donkeys years (basically, since I started work at 16 and was then expected to buy my own food, so had the choice for the first time ever).
I told Mr LW when I moved in with him (2002) that I had no objection to him having meat or fish, but I couldn't cook them (I'd probably poison him if I tried, too). Bless him, he opted to eat veggie at home, and just have steak or something as a treat if we eat out. :AIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Elona I logged out a minute ago having dominated the Fence for most of the day
So good to see you post and sound so upbeat . The bones are all that matter . Take care
