I don't think that will work here. Those sponges work by using a (very mild) abrasive action, which can be very effective for surface marks on impermeable surfaces but won't work for a mark that's soaked into fabric.Try those magic eraser sponges. They seem to get rid of anything.0 -
Try diluted regular cheap thin toilet bleach - a weak solution so it doesn't attack the cotton too readily and keep an eye. Maybe start with one, the oldest/closest to the bin and work backwards. Bleach is pretty amazing and costs pennies for a bottle. Wear marigolds, and wash properly afterwards.
The pens have stained the fibres, you need to unstain them, which is what bleach does.0 -

Sparay on some Flash kitchen cleaner with bleach, leave for an hour or so, rinse well and wash as normal. Worked well for me.0
