Texts to premium numbers on People's Operator
I'd like to use William Hills text service - they allow us to text a bet to 60609
I've realised giff gaff and the people's operator block texts to premium numbers on their Pay Monthly tariffs.
With giff gaff, the solution is to buy a £10 bolt on.
There doesn't seem to be the equivalent at The People's Operator. I have scoured the site and there is no mention of Premium text numbers or bolt ons. I've tried customer service a couple of times but I've hung up once the hold music ticks over the hour mark.
Does anyone know a solution? I'm starting to think it simply isn't possible to send a text to a premium text number on the People's Operstir

First of all, giffgaff is PAYG (with optional bundles), not Pay Monthly.
Are you sure they block them? Why would they if you have credit in your account?0 -

Hi Grumbler
(1) The Giff gaff is a £12 a month goodybag

However their "unlimited texts" does not include premium text numbers, so a £10 bolt on is required.
(2) The evidence for the Peoples Operator blocking them is I can text any number in the world, but not a five digit text number (the phone immediately returns a "message failed" error). I presume the reason they block them are texts to these numbers are more expensive, but can't find a workaround to enable them.0 -
For 2, they 'may' have a premium rate block live as default on all acc's. If you call CS they maybe able to lift it?0

Inclusive text allowances cover messages sent to UK geographic numbers starting 01 and 02 and UK mobile numbers starting 071-075 and 077-079.
Allowances exclude messages sent to landline or mobile numbers allocated in Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man and to mobile shortcodes.
You can't usually send messages to non-geographic numbers starting 03, 08 or 09.0 -

It cost me 10p on Three to send a text to 60609 and has to cost the same on all networks.0
