    Afternoon all :)
Thanks for the start CCL :)
    Congratulations to Princess Pea :)
And good luck to DNMS :)

Sunny here today, but windy and cold. Annoyingly, my washing machine is out of action so I haven't been able to take advantage of the weather to dry the washing

    So far I have:
Posted an item for the RM survey
Posted 2 small ebay sales (used a free stamp for one of them :D)
Tidy up and restock at sales unit - a few more bits sold over the weekend :)
Walked to town and back to save fuel, and for free exercise
Got a box of other bits out of the loft to clean up ready to take in later in the week - found 3 silver spoons I didn't know I had :T
Sorted out unwanted greetings cards to try on ebay
Whizzed round with the hoover and washed the kitchen and bathroom floors
Checked FPL - no surveys sadly - I suspect this is because I am 5p off payout on onepoll :(

    Still to do:
Clean bits for sales unit (some old pipes, ugh ) I have put this off unsurprisingly!
Leftovers for supper tonight Done, also made an apple and plum crumble, using 2 sad looking apples from the fruit bowl and stewed plums from the freezer. Also chucked in the last of some cranberry sauce that has been lurking in the fridge (HM, very alcoholic, keeps for ages) :)
Made a loaf in the BM
Sort out CDs into wallet I have had for ages, and recycle cases Done, listening to one as OH is out and the TV is off :T
Put a couple more bits on ebay Light not good enough to photograph (excuses :o) but I have got them out ready to do tomorrow
Light the woodburner soon so the heating can go off - it is so cold that I caved in this morning and put the radiators on in the kitchen and living room  Done
Bit of paperwork for business Done
Got chicken out to make a curry tomorrow
Got out more stewed fruit for breakfasts for the rest of the week :)
Hand washed and dried the gloves I rescued from the road yesterday (abandoned by roadmen, will do for gardening!)
    Managed a NSD :T:T

Hope you are all having a good day :)

    Hi again,
Just checking back as promised with what I actually achieved. Quite a productive day, so a good start to the week, which is what I wanted.
*Laundry done overnight on cheap tariff.
*All pegged outside on the line, despite it being so icy first thing that I couldn't feel my hands. Most stuff did dry. Last few bigger items draped on heated airer which I'll switch on before bed to make use of the cheaper tariff. Also reloaded washer for another overnight wash.
    *Rescued Christmas tree (again).
*Busy morning in the greenhouse, where is was warm & sunny. Sowed lots of flower seed - all free packets except for just one, which I bought. Also sowed two types of lettuce, cucumbers, beetroot, basil & coriander. Fortified myself with coffee, then potted up baby aubergines & jalapeno chillies.
*Got more of my yoghurt pot stash out of the shed & punched holes in them, ready for potting up the next lot of baby veggie seedlings later this week.
*Received hugely apologetic phone call from energy provider in response to my letter of complaint (Level 3 foxgloves assertiveness). Outstanding £50 will be in my bank account within 7 days. Apparently the problem was that none of the people I spoke to had the authority to make the payment. I said, no, the problem is actually that none of the people I spoke to referred my case to someone who DID have the authority. Anyway, hopefully it will be sorted out now. The person I spoke to also informed me that we are no longer on the cheapest tariff, so is going to email me some details to look at to see if I want to change.
*Rounded down bank balance to make a PAD of £3-60 to the Car Fund. Updated signature. It does motivate me to see it going up, even if by just a tiny bit at a time.
*Got everything ready for tomorrow morning in town. Need an early start as car is being dropped off for its MOT (fingers crossed). Have packed Car Maintenance Savings Piggy cash, Presents Piggy cash (to buy Easter eggs for nephews), a faulty item to exchange, a holey bag 4 life to replace, my Monsoon gift cards just in case the dress of my dreams is calling me from their window, my Waitrose card for free coffee.....you name it, it's in my bag ready.
    *Entered crossword competition.
*Picked a cheery free bunch of daffodils from the garden.
*Paid a 50p into my sealed pot.
*Now just off to jump in a hot bubble bath as am feeling a bit 'composty' & wash my hair. Will leave it to dry naturally, to save a bit of energy. If I look like Medusa tomorrow, I'll show it the straighteners then.
OK, that's what I've done today. After my bath, it's going to be bum-in-chair time with a good book & maybe a bit of knitting.
    Cheers all,
    f x

Ooooh, well done, Princess Pea! Fantastic news. Another one of us on here free of the bonds of debt. I feel genuinely pleased every time another of our number achieves this :-)

  • Good morning all,

Woke up feeling really unwell, could have spent all day in bed but with OH at work and three children to look after, got no chance! On new tablets for my headaches which seem to have reduced them, however have given me an upset stomach and made me feel constantly queasy _pale_

    - school run DONE
    - wash DONE
    - dust frontroom DONE
    - Hoover
    - ironing
    - nursery run with DD DONE
    - meals from stores, leftover Thai green curry today
    - baths and early night

Still feeling really unwell and can't quite be bothered to hoover and iron although it desperately needs doing. To top it off, my kids are driving me mad and really misbehaving  roll on bedtime!

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Very pleased with how the na*west situation has been handled. I rang up and explained my situation . The first call handler was very helpful and on the ball. He advised me that I could only resolve it via their complaints department. Before I was passed on he made sure the next person understood the situation and the complaints person was also excellent (despite continual recourse to the hated term 'myself' ahhhhhh the apprentice has a lot to answer for)
Long story short this would have hit my credit file at the end of Feb so would be reported via the credit agencies in March. They've agreed to take the late fee of £12 off. Reimburse me the £10.99 interest I paid this morning and reverse the late payment on my file.
Considering how much I've made use of credit over the years I really can't believe I have managed to generate this situation over such a tiny amount when the account was actually clear.
But give them their dues, I felt listened to, respected and very pleased with the resolution offered.

    Happy Bob.

    Hey everyone :D
I wish I could report feeling all sprightly and refreshed but I really don't. I'm still exhausted. DD is looking a bit better but I'm not convinced she'll be well enough to go back to school tomorrow.
Bob - so pleased that Natwest sorted you out. I hate them with a passion but pleased they've reversed everything for you.
Huge congratulations to you princess pea - don't forget to post on the debt free roll of honor.
Hope you feel better soon MTC

I've had an email from the Head who reckons she is concerned about me and wants to have a meeting with me and HR to see how they can support me at work. Don't even know what to think about that... At least I have a week or so to put some things together.

    Hi Everyone!

Bit of a mad weekend for me, including a whole day spent at school as part of Open University course. Which meant catching up on other stuff the rest of the time.

    • email landlord re painting the house
    • studying

    • [STRIKE]transfer money from Paypal to current account[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]aim for no spend day[/STRIKE]

    • [STRIKE]report back here at end of the day!![/STRIKE]
    All the best :)

I forgot just how much time & effort it requires to be organized!
At least I managed to get through some of the stuff I planned this morning.
    In addition;
    • cleaned out cutlery draw
    • cleaned and decluttered 1 kitchen cupboard, some of the contents will either be off to recycling center or ebay...
    • prepped cake and beans (soak) for tomorrow's meals
    • checked mobile contract expiry date - in " days!! Yikes!
    Well done all!
