Monday 7 March - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:

Morning all
It's been a long night, and I am so pleased I don't need to go to work today. dd is ill. She's devastated that she's not well enough for school but she's definitely not going anywhere. I suspect it's tonsillitis, but have drugged her up and sent her straight back to bed.
Anyway, today's plans
Rest lots
Keep a close eye on dd
Get ds to and from school
Cancel training for this week
Check banking and PAD
Aim for nsd
All meals from stores
Do a couple of things from annoying list if I can be bothered
Get dh to the doctors
Get my sicknote into work
Crochet
Find some rubbish tv to watch for free!
Have a good day everyone! Not giving up

Morning cat & Tyrone  Hi to everyone to follow
quick post for me while I'm drinking my coffee before I spring into action and get ready for work
:eek::D
small things for today:
* pay remainder of cc bill - oh's contribution. It needs to be paid today and I have asked him several times so I'll just pay it and he can pay me back or we'll loose our interest free agreement for 2 months (I use it to spend for cash back and pay it off in full each month)
* take lunch & snacks to work
* finished dgd's lunch & bag
* take some meds to work as have come down with a cold
(again! This is like the 3rd in just over a month!)
* use dry spray and tie back hair - cba to wash it
* have roast meat & potatoes procured from the pub (work) yesterday for tea tonight- man it was so busy I felt like I had done 10 rounds with tyson by the end of my shift!
* put the £31 I got from tips in the debt overpayment pot :T have managed to gather £132 for Feb & this week :j
* take out the things in my boot to reduce petrol costs
* hopefully will have enough energy to repot seedlings tonight and plant some more.
Ok better spring into action! Have an hour before I leave. Have a great day everyone xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning All
I had a slightly annoying thing to wake up to today. I did a balance transfer a while back which cleared a card completely and it is now on 0%.
I just got my noddle report and it showed a £10.99 amount owed to N*west
Logged on and checked sure enough about 20 days after the card was cleared they applied the interest charge.
It was not cleared last month as I didn't know it was there so I may now get my first late payment recorded in probably 15 years! Nothing is showing on noddle at the moment and I really am cross about this.
Any advice? I just didn't think to check a cleared account.

Hi Bob,
Give them a call and explain what happened - they might waive the fee for you. I've done this successfully in the past a few times... Good luck!0 -

- email landlord re painting the house
- studying
- check banks, credit cards and update spreadsheet with spend
- transfer money from Paypal to current account
- aim for no spend day

Bob generally cc companies will allow you to reverse 1 late payment charge a year. I think call them and explain and you'll probably get luckyDF as at 30/12/16
