    Evening

I got all excited when I saw Schwartz back on cos and cs (£2 back for 2) and t have them 2 for £2 until I read t&cs of bm and saw it was only comparing against a these days :(

I think they've already been on offer at a recently and not likely to go on offer Wednesday?

Just watched Channel 4 Dispatches about homecare. :(

From my experience with my mum there are some lovely carers out there but unfortunately there are some that don't seem to care but to be honest with often no time between visits and no one acknowledging their real worth what is to be expected. This problem stems from those higher up with unreal expectations in my opinion. I had to really push for longer in the mornings for my mum, realistically I could not see how even with my help what was needed could be done in the time and I was right. :o Thankfully with me on mum's side she had been giving longer visits before discharge but not everyone has someone fighting their corner for them. :(

When are those at the top going to realise that the less home care is funded the more people are going to end up in hospital/nursing homes where care costs a whole lot more. And not at least those not being discharged due to the difficulty of home care being found for them....

Not often I get on my soapbox but this really touched a nerve for me tonight, sorry. :o

I was thinking along the lines of something similar...I want something that wont show up the dirt too much...Not that I won't keep it clean...:rotfl::rotfl:Just the boy will be in and out of the garden with his paws...:D

I have been out looking for floor tiles today, what a coincidence. :D

Think we are going to go for some from Tile Giant. Seem quite reasonable.

We have been told by our builder best tiles for kitchen floors are porcelain ones, so think we are going for these in natural but this shade is bit darker might do well in hiding muddy paws. ;)

A bit of a long price collection today in M:( - some changes (which I can cope with) but also SELs that are not clear as to what is in the offer and SELs with different pricing that appear to cover the some of the same products at the same time. A bit chaotic in M (maybe it's just the usual chaos for a Monday) with offers not yet showing in some stores, mbuy SELs taken away when the items may or may not still be on the mbuys, full price showing in one part of the store but offer labels elsewhere say until 10/4, usual thing really:rotfl:. A few dodgy prices on some SELs as well. I have now got M Disney Water Filled Teether back at 25p in one store - it was 25p SEL several months ago in a different store but then found at £1 SEL in another store immediately afterwards and still is showing £1 there, so the 25p may be very old and never taken off - or it could be the £1 in the other store has never been changed and they are 25p. Can't find any stock of the item in either store.

The thing I noticed today was that the Traybakes now seem very expensive:eek:. They were I presume £3.60 net Avs T quite recently (now already gone) but now are £6 in M. That's quite a jump from what I have expected before! Also last chance on the A Princess Cake:rotfl:, vs M at £5. They are now £6 in M. I think the chances of that having picked up the £5 M price last Wednesday, and therefore working currently, are good. However, I can't give any guarantee (unlike Mr A apparently:rotfl:) so you could end up with paying £9:eek:! It may be cheaper to buy on whoopsies anyway - on an item like this the whoopsies can be up to several pounds cheaper (though I expect the whoopsie prices in M now won't be quite as good as before:() although whether you would want to buy someone a whoopsied cake:think:...

There are some good/very good RTC prices in M at the moment, and you may need me as I don't expect they are on msm! RTC prices do compare on the APG if they have them in the APG M stores (but should not compare on TBG even if they are in the TBG M stores). However, it may be the case that some of them may work on the APG after the update due soon but may stop working immediately after the update from this Wednesday's collection. It's possible some of them may sell out from M and vanish completely (from a sample of 3/6 stores). I have already myself lost one version of the Tracker bars this week - not in any of the three stores I checked today - but they will be around somewhere I very much think. So, whether the Princes Mackerel tins will work for long - they won't work yet, need to await an update. There's also Ye Old Oak Hot Dogs tins at 25p and Princes Pink Salmon 213g on 80p (we've seen cheaper - 75p - on M own brand before) and, for those of you that stick with Red Salmon, Princes Red Salmon 213g at £1. That is a rare price for Red Salmon as far as I know.

It does not help me when a set of items that I have only ever seen in one M go completely OOS and the SELs vanish entirely:(. I thought the Iglotex Dumplings offer was due to end about now anyway, and I've now no way of knowing so they are just going to be deleted. I wish they would leave the SELs there but with "temporarily OOS". However, even if they did, I still wouldn't trust the SELs:rotfl:. That was true today on the Chicago Melt Pizza Meat Supreme (yes, that's now turned up again:D) - now got a SEL of £1 but "temporarily OOS" in my store. So, maybe it kept on offer all the while, even after I deleted it from the list as unable to find it (and I thought the offer was about to have ended anyway) but clearly - or, rather, allegedly - not as there is the SEL with £1. I may have ended up with just Meat Supreme and OOS in my own store today, had I visited my usual stores. However, I visited an unusual store (for me) today and found just the Pepperoni Melt version there, with a SEL of £1:D. So, I have both - if I'd gone to my usual stores I would probably have had one but not the other:rotfl:.

It's been like that - I've picked up about a third of the items in one M, a third in the other and a third in the final one:rotfl:. Just such completely different ranges in the ones I've used today. Some of the world foods items have gone up in price - the Crucials mbuy looks like it is off and they were with M points offer - that's still on but mbuy isn't - so no good anymore it seems and don't know whether they would work from A as so few Ms ever showed the mbuy for me. I just cannot keep scanning the same items everytime I visit M (twice a week)! Mae Ploy curry pastes appear to have gone up. The Ecover liquid (1.5L) has shot right up in price! Daz 40 Regular washing powder has gone to £4 in M. Bird's Trifles have gone up in M and may soon be about to go up in T. The Schweppes Sparkling juice drinks have gone up. The 2 for £20 (not Scotland) 70cl alcohol bottles offer is off in M. Nestle Honey Nut Shredded Wheat is now back to more than twice the cost due to the offer ending. The Pure spreads have gone up (the points offer before would have outweighed the APG), the Flora Cuisine has doubled in price (naturally, I suppose, if the half price offer has ended), the Harpic Active (2) rim blocks are up, the Quattro Women Bikini Razor has gone from £5 to £10:eek: - v.slim chance of APG continuing to pick up £5 if it finds most stores with unchanged SELs - as I had one out of three today - I think not!, and the Neutrogena mbuy is off.

I no longer know whether the frozen pies are still on mbuy in M and I'm unclear about whether the Steak Bakes/Cheese & Onion Bakes/Creamy Chicken Bakes 4 for £3 mbuy is on or off now - I thought both of them were on last time but now I have stores showing different things and no longer clear to me anymore. It doesn't take much to put me into doubt:(:rotfl:.

The A2 milks have gone up, as have the Koko long lifes (now onto Blue Diamond in M). I think the Wyke Mature Cheddar may have gone from £5/kg to £8/kg if "Wyke Mature Cheddar" and "Wyke Mature Farmhouse Cheddar" are one and the same. It only takes the addition of a single word for me to think they may be different products - or else for it to become not completely and absolutely clear beyond every possible aspect of doubt for me. I think they simply have the new wording on the delicatessen signage - I think they don't think about precise wording each time they change labels and I have no stock in the other place in the stores to find a £5/kg price there. I think they've gone up to £8/kg. I think they are one and the same but the addition of the word "Farmhouse" has sowed an area of doubt and a little bit of confusion for me. I also think that the Market Deals Lamb Leg is no longer available in M. It also seems the £3.50 Turkey Legs may have gone and that they've gone back to the £4.72 versions now:(.

The Alberto Balsam Smooth & Sleek Oil that was found to compare £2 vs £1 M a week ago has now gone up in price in M - to £3.97:eek:! It really was £1 in M - and it really has nearly quadrupled!

The Yazoo smoothies have gone from £1 to £2 and 2 for £2:wall:. The Sugam Full Fat Paneer (234g) has gone up:(.

The Penguins and Go Ahead!s (but not the Orange Go Ahead! that was on separate RTC) are now on 3 for £2 (:wall: as offer a few weeks ago was 67p each - so, roughly about the same price, only now having to buy three - and it doesn't look very good from my first store today as I had no clue there was any offer on at all - not showing mbuy on the SELs there yet). Also joined by Jacob's Oddities now (and other items not worth bothering with:rotfl:).

I had the Room Scenter Strawberry Candle at 15p (from msm) and suspected the Forest Flowers and Jasmine & Rosewater versions were also going to be 15p. Indeed, I have Forest Flowers showing 15p in one my stores today (the one I rarely visit!) and I now more strongly suspect Jasmine & Rosewater will be 15p somewhere too. I was having problems working out the prices of these items before as the prices in my stores did not seem to tally with msm. However, I have realised that what has happened is that the flavours remaining in my usual stores are now other ones, that are not on these prices. It is typical that my nearest stores have gone completely OOS of the ones on the 'good' prices and they are now found only in other stores:rotfl:. I now believe it is Strawberry, Forest Flowers and Jasmine & Rosewater of all three of the Room Scenters, the Scented Jars and the Large Scented Jars that are now on the better prices.
