Has anyone had scar reduction surgery on here, can they recommend any over the counter products they used to help reduce the redness etc.

DD3's seems to be thickening again and a bit red :(, she doesn't have follow up until another couple of weeks. I know it's still early days and not expecting a miracle but if she can minimize what happened before.

I found this Boots one has good reviews.

What about Bio Oil TS? I've used it on scarring before, not surgical scarring though, but it is quite good. Might be worth a look anyways :)

    Good evening :)

Yes I'm pretty much all settled now thanks. Still got a few bits and pieces to get but it's definitely starting to feel like home now :)

Could it just be the healing process TS?

I'm hoping so. Seems if you have had a keloid scar before then you can be susceptible to them again, I had no idea, never researched it prior to op. :o She says it definitely is still thinner than before but at one end it looks just like the start of when the last one turned thicker.

I'm not entirely sure if the surgeon thought hers was previously a keloid or a hypertrophic scar, just want to do all we can to minimise this thickening again.

Hey LFAB. :hello: Thanks, I have heard a lot about bio oil, that's why I was asking to see if anyone has had any real success with it. Seems this boots serum gives it a run for it's money. :)
