MrsBartolozzi wrote: »That may be true, but by pinpointing the time it happened today (and on other days) we can say things like " The earliest it has changed is 4pm" so if you are in Asda at 3.50 you know you are cutting it fine, or at 4.15pm you may decide not to risk a glitch shop if you can't afford to lose out.
Knowledge is power
Yes, but the earliest I've known it change is about 8.50am (I do not remember the exact time - it could have been an hour later) on Tuesday (but that one was very unusually early and has been the only single time I've ever known in over 3 years) and the latest time has been Wednesday evening. So it doesn't really give us a guide even if we know this one occasion.
It's usually been Tuesday evening in more recent times (under the 'new' APG system) but it can be a little earlier (or later when we've shopped on Tuesday and the system only updated sometime in the day on Wednesday).
I still think this means shopping on Tuesday morning if you can - but, even then, you could find the prices get updated (a little earlier than 'usual') and even a Tuesday morning shop could therefore fail. Morning or early afternoon (Tuesday) is, I think, likely to work most times but can't be guaranteed to do so (if the update that occasion happens to come a little earlier than it usually does).0 -

I will post my results, later in the day.

I sometimes think that - all my shops today were paid for by vouchers - but, if they had not worked, then it would be a loss. Look forward to your results:D. (Even though - I'm unlikely to see them as out much of the day probably tomorrow:rotfl: I say "probably" as I'm likely to be doing my Wednesday M price collection but, at this rate, with me not updating much from Monday I wonder if I will ever get there:eek:. I'm trying - hopefully I'll get there - I'm about halfway* (from my own stores' items) and haven't even got to the more distant stores from Thursday or Saturday at all yet so they will have to wait again and probably eventually get to those by the end of this week:rotfl::rotfl::doh::D. I'm getting there - slowly but surely:).)
*But the other half was quicker than I expected - lots of duplicates, of items that I have already crossed off as expired.0 -
Shops were:
4:27pm (compared to M) and 4:35pm (compared to S), However I checked the APG for the 4.27pm shop at 6:50ish and had to come back for the 4:35pm shop APG check online at 9pm roughly as wasn't ready earlier. Could it not have been the "claim" time, rather than the shop time that was an issue?Savvybuyer wrote: »What time was each shop? They can't have been done at exactly the same time. The M price update must have been literally in between those two shops. Which goes back to my theory (indeed I understand that from what I was once told by A CS at HQ itself) that it is the time at which you shopped regarding M. Prices for M were updated on the system when you were doing your second shop. Unfortunately there is no way to know in advance when precisely that has happened. The M price update today must have been around 4.30pm (and in between your two shops - even if they are seconds apart, which I doubt - it's probably more like a few minutes at least - then the update hit the system literally in between those seconds. Glad we've clarified the precise time of the update today.:T:T:rotfl::j:rotfl: However, it doesn't help anything at all - as it is always a different time each time.)
Shop that worked...you checked out before the M prices were updated:T:D. Shop that failed...the M prices had been updated before you checked out:(. (Of course, it could have been the other way around if we had wanted the new prices rather than the old. Then a failed shop would have been one done too early.)0 -
I did say this to her from very early on but it seems the dress is a very big thing and she won't compromise on - deep sigh
I sent her a Monsoon link as they have bridal dresses and there were some in the sale but this was ignored
I suggested ebay and she said words to the effect that she would rather chew her own foot off ...
So far I don't think I've made one useful suggestion ...
Hello mhoc
I have to say if I was her I'd want to steer clear of high st chain dresses as wellit's obviously important to her and the hiring sounds like a good compromise to buying expensive so go with it.
I had a catalogue dress......can't remember if it was freemans or Kay's :rotfl::rotfl: but yes there are times I wished I'd had a 'proper' dress. I guess those catalogue dresses were the equivalent of today's high st ranges. Mine had a peplum:rotfl::rotfl: Who'd have got married in the 80s?
Glad you got your treacle cat sorted out. I have a couple of drive bys at the moment and I've made a cat coop out of an old chicken coop for them. They can't come in because I can't be sure they aren't flea ridden yet! That will make 4 catsI was always destined to be a cat lady

The earlier shop worked. The M prices were probably updated between the two. Though, with that late 9pm, it could have been that - as I thought we'd moved to the new prices during the evening rather than as early as 4.30/4.32. That's why I check as soon as possible (usually one second after the 2 hours). However, I thought we'd moved to the new prices by the evening - we certainly had by 9pm - but it could have been a little earlier (i.e. 4.30 approx.) as I wasn't sure with an Easter egg shop picking up £5.00 prices for M today, whether that was under the new or was still the old price collection after all (as there was later a post saying this had failed on the old collection). I'd be saying it was around 4.30 - between 4.28 and 4.34 - when the prices were updated - does that tally in with other peoples' experience, and with when shops were reported as failing on here?
None of which would have happened had the APG collectors got on Monday what I maintain is in fact actually the correct price in M:p. Namely £2 until 3rd April - as per my accurate nearest store:p:p:rotfl:.:( I have a further store showing the £2 today, on Tuesday, boo:(. (Doesn't matter - matters what they get on Monday!)
EDIT: I suspect Scotland may be a different time and that will need to be factored in.0 -
4:27 shop worked vs M and was checked first, the other compared to S and was not ready to check until later online.=MrsBartolozzi;70366411]Actually thinking about it maximooapg, was it the earlier transaction that worked or the one you checked first (if they are not the same)?Thanks0
