Will a VPN allow me to watch USA catch up?

OK so I generally watch Freeview channels so don't really miss Sky that much - I've got a Freeview PVR in the front room to record the shows I want to watch. In the bedroom I've got a sky link on which I can watch Freesat shows as they are broadcast and Roku for Netflix etc.

However, there a a few shows that I do and will miss e.g. Code Black, Chicago Fire/PD and Criminal Minds. I'm thinking about going with a virtual VPN to be able to watch these shows on USA catch up. Has anyone done this? Was it easy?

If you know someone who could do what HappyMJ then it will be easier.

There's Hulu in the US but I'm not sure if it's something you need to pay for or even if it would have the shows you want to watch.

You can download the Hola extension for Chrome and look at Hulu if you like.
