Judi, if this were me, I would look INSIDE the pillow case. I am a very wiggly sleeper and apparently flail about a lot though naturally am unaware of this sick I am asleep otherwise if OH has a gleam in his eye, you may suspect him of not being entirely truthful.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Found it in the home office....Lord knows how it got there. Well no, it obviously got there via a dog but I don't remember taking it off. Oh well....I'm just thankful it's not been chewed.

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs))))))))))if you need one. Thank you for the good thoughts for today. We are going to my daughters for lunch, my grand daughter is going to load the photos from the engagement party the other week onto my external hard drive, I can get them on my computer.

It's fine, the sun was shining but it's clouded over. We started a new Sunday routine when OH was ill a few weeks ago, we have our Sunday breakfast in bed.

I laid the fire yesterday but did not light it. OH had a bad day, had to stop the antibiotics yesterday, his finger has cleared, he was showing signs of an allergic reaction, spent most of the day sleeping. It's 24 hours since he took the last dose, so he should be ok now. Will mention it to the Dr. His notes need marking.

The freezer I lent to DS2 is coming home next week end, how we are going to get it out here I do not know, will have to think about it. No way am I going to hump it about in my present condition.

Better get up, have a wash, and sort myself out for going out later.

    - GERS - I bet you view is amazing all snowy, would love to see a pic.

    Take care all X

No snow here, fortunately! There's sometimes snow on the peak of Jura which is beautiful but nothing today. Not even a frost. The sun is weak and trying to shine in vain.

    Good Morning,

    Lovely sunny day here!
Got awoken by DD with a Mother's day card and a huge hug- best way to be woken up if you ask me :D:D

Yogurt, fruit and a cuppa for breakfast.
Will be wandering down to mums for a roast at lunchtime, not sure whether she is doing chicken or beef...either is more than fine with me.

Didn't manage to get on yesterday, took DD swimming and popped into town to buy mum some flowers, then came home and took care of all the housework, so today i am free to relax and catch up with my tv shows, the sky planner is looking a little full to say the least!

Time to get showered and get ready.
    Have lovely days all xx

    Morning all,

Was woken this morning with a tray of tea from dd and Evie sat in bed and had that then came down to breakfast with a lovely box of chocs and some daffs, have been very spoilt.

Evie has found a tissue somewhere and ripped it up all over the hallway and one of my old socks too :rotfl:she is now upstairs causing havoc :D, we took her to the beach yesterday and she had a grand old time running with other dogs and he made a friend in a 10 month old collie who kept trying to 'herd' her, it was so funny she was flaked out all night then !

Not going to be doing too much today will phone mum and see if she wants to come for tea, family ended up not coming last night as both dd and my sister were ill, dd had a migraine and the only thing that helps it is to sleep it off, she went to bed at 8 and slept for 13 hours  she is feeling better now though.

Right better get on, Happy mothers day to all mums, and hug to those missing there mums xx

    Good morning everyone,

Happy Mother's Day to everyone, thinking of csarina and Judi and everyone who finds it hard.

I would have liked to have gone to visit my Mum this weekend, but unfortunately funds wouldn't allow. I will phone her shortly but I expect she has gone to Church. I sent her and MIL flowers so they should have been received.

DD and DS are in bed still, so don't know if they have remembered, I would be happy with just a card. DS has just come down with an oil burner and fragrance. DD went to a party last night, so not sure when she will be up but she is supposed to be working today:D

DH is out driving today, so won't be back until later. I am going to cook a quorn lasagne for dinner and do some baking.

Sun is shining so may try to go for a walk later, firstly I need another cup of tea and then will do the ironing, so I don't have to do it later.

Have a good day everyone. smileys-flowers-402268.gif

    Morning all

Thinking of those, like me, who won't see their children today, and no longer has their Mum.

I have Mothers day in line where my sons live,in the southern hemisphere, so get a card and present later in year. Saw youngest earlier.

Lunch provided by other halves today as my cousin and I celebrate
'Abandoned Mother's Day' with each other, hers are a long way away too.

Enjoy your treats everyone that gets them and give your children a big hug.

Happy Mothers day to all of us. I shall be visiting my own Mother later. Hoping to avoid my brother and his girlfriend. I might bribe hubby into coming with me...one look from him will send them scuttling off.

Judi, I don't post on this thread as a rule, but wanted to share this - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5424317

We lost my nan this summer, but in truth she started fading five years ago. I thought I was okay with it, then listened to this song last night and I've been crying on and off ever since.

It's heartbreaking to watch them leave, the confusion, guilt, pain and anger. Then, when it's over, to go through it all again - but accompanied by that nagging guilt of relief.

My grandmother was a rock - I think everyone here would have loved her - a true oldstyler. The world was hard for a woman in her time, but her family was her world, and watching my father tear himself apart after her death would have killed her - as much as knowing how much he resented her in the end...

She taught me to be kind, to take care of those I loved, to depend on myself, to do for others, to be proud.

I think of her, I think of holding a frail, paper- skinned hand, of the smell, of the absence. I want to think of her warmth, the things she taught me to cook, the way I could walk through that lounge blindfolded.

There will come a time I can think of her and smile. There will come a time for you Judi when she is at peace, and you can bring her flowers, and she will be smiling watching you.

    Happy mothers day everyone.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
