HI all, on the 19th of December I experienced 8 hrs delay with Alitalia, What should have been an easy 4 hrs trip with 2 children, became a 12 hrs Nightmare.
I have made an application through Resolver, Alitalia has offered me £1200 Euro, but voucher to spend on Alitalia.
What seems as a good response in reality is
.
Where am I going to go? I dont really have any plan to travel anywhere within a 1yr .
Do i have the right to ask for cash payment instead?
please any advice would be appreciate
and ....what to write or how to reply??
Thanks

Ask them for a cash payment instead, it's your right under EU261/2004.Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0

To add to Tyzap's correct advice, you should frame your letter politely to indicate that unless they comply with your request under EU261/2004 (which you should quote) by such-and-such a date you will be pursuing the legal route.0

update
got a reply today they will pay me cash in my bank account after sending them my Id and my children ID.
They also require my bank details, as silly at it might sound, am I safe to send IDs and bank details?
thank you0 -
