Cooling off period buying Sim only
I'm thinking of buying a Sim Only deal, the only reason I'm leaving my current mobile phone provider is that the signal is bad where I live, not just house also in wider area. The contract I'm interested in is for 24 months but I don't want to be locked in if the signal is bad again. If I understand it right I should be able to use the cooling off period and return it within 14 days if I buy online? Has anyone tried this for a mobile phone contract? https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/phone-internet-downloads-or-tv/cancelling-a-phone-tv-internet-or-mobile-contract/
Would it be difficult to get a PAC code and transfer to another provider if you're cancelling the contract I wonder.

Why not just get a free PAYG SIM on the same network and try it out-there are only 4 to choose from, the rest being MVNO's.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

How does that work, just put it in, try signal without making calls? Do they give you free sims?0

Here's a start... get your free O2 payg sim here.
Stick "free sim vodafone" in google for another one.
I'm sure you can work out how to get others.0 -
Brilliant. Thanks.0

You may have to get your existing handset unlocked init isn't already0

Would help if you told us what network you are intending to use. For example, if it's o2, you can test with a giffgaff or Tesco Mobile SIM, or White Mobile or Asda Mobile for EE.
This is pretty much standard practice for the savvy buyer, as the postcode trackers can never be 100% reliable. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
