Email from Currys before items dispatched?

Placed an order online this evening from Currys, for home delivery. Nothing mega expensive, £300.
Just received an email from a 'Fashade Agboola' (email address: fashadeagboola@dixonscarphone.com) saying that they need to speak to me before they can dispatch my item, and to call them this evening.
Have googled the name and number but nothing comes up as far as I can see?
Has anyone come across this?
Thanks

Surely they have your number and couldncall you if need be? All of my correspondence from my recent Currys order came from @knowhow and mostly by text message.0

The domain name is legitimate. If you're unsure why not ring one of their published numbers?0

Yes, this is true!
I'm leaning towards scam, but don't want to risk calling the number and finding out! It is a very plain looking email right enough, and some of the wording sounds a bit off.

Highly suggestive of a scammer to me. Don't reply. Correspond only with Currys directly via their official email - forward the email to them if you wish.
Scammer should have done proper research; Dixons went bust ages ago.
Best wishes to you OP. x
Edit - agree with Haylescom; I got a new fridge-freezer from Currys last year and ALL delivery and follow-up correspondence was via KnowHow. x0 -

The main customer service line is now closed. I have next day delivery for tomorrow and it states that if I do not call my delivery date may not be available anymore? Which sounds a bit like play on someones need to get something delivered.

Happy to be proved wrong, but I think the OP is right to be cautious.0 -

I have until 10pm if it is legit :rotfl::rotfl:
Currys have the numbers 0344 8002030, 6080, 6090 - I think it is genuine. I'd call but obviously don't give them any information that they don't already have (anything that's not on the email).0
