Hi
I got my son a pair of football boots for school which he never wore.
So I'd ask the school for more information before buying.

I'd make sure they are moulded studs and just buy cheapies.0

We used them a lot when I was in school it'll be down to your school if getting blades check the school allows them some are studs only. Sport direct get my vote as well.0

Sports Direct, but consider waiting until you know when in the year they are needed if her feet are still growing.
DD1 has worn football boots for lacrosse since Y7 (now Y11); DD2 plays football twice a week and hockey even more, so has had studs and astros for as long as I can recall.0 -

I think we got away with three pairs between the three of them - and the third pair were because DS3 had much bigger feet than the older two! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
another vote for sports direct - cheap and cheerful as others have said it might be on a 5 week rotation...
DD is in yr 8, but when she started I followed the list to a t... football socks. mouth guard, shin pads etc - waste of money
Football boots - never wore - would say look at a size bigger .
Uniform - even if the jumper is school logo, see if its available via Tesco website - can be half the price of one from school supplier. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I wouldnt bother.. they wont ever use them!! Our school said to get them but even my son never needed any.
I had 5 children at the school and not once did they require any. I had 2 at a different high school, all boys, and they never had to have them unless competing in the inter-school tournaments
So are you saying your children all went through school never having played football, rugby or hockey? I find that rather hard to believe to be honest.
However, if you're saying they played these games without wearing appropriate footwear then it's not generally good advice to do so, for safety reasons more than anything else. Trainers might be sufficient for kicking a ball around the playground at playtime but completely inappropriate when it comes to playing football properly and can result in injury to the player.0 -

He plays football outside of school too, so has the more expensive ones as they take a beating.
OP, I agree though that you should go with a cheapy pair to start just in case they are only needed for a short period of time.0 -

My boys were supposed to have football boots for school. I mentioned it at work and one of my colleagues gave me her sons' cast offs. They lay unused in a cupboard for several years and then I binned them. Might be worth asking around. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0
