I agree AVG is very good. We installed it after having Norton and it has never let us down. Oh as previously recommended, you need to get rid of norton first.

yeah because thats a good idea. keeping norton on ur system. no 1 cares if its legal. just if norton is on ur pc or not...0 -
Also consider some of the "paid for" options which can offer better protection and detection rates as well offer a complete solution. Thats not to say that the free stuff is bad, far from it, in fact in controlled tests the free stuff often beats some of the "paid for" products like Norton.
There are some excellent paid for products such as Kaspersky Internet Security (about £35 a year) which is extremely light on system resources and very easy to set - I use this. NOD32 is also highly recommended too and a good alternative to Kaspersky.Lack of money is the root of all evil.

Dont get me wrong, I like Norton and run it myself never had a virus in 10 years on the net so I must do something right.
I posted how to remove it because sometimes it is not as simple and doing add/remove option.
If you still wanted to keep Norton there was a clue in my first post if you have the CD and registration details.0 -

are you on crack? norton is a no go, ask any decent IT guy. the reason u anit got a virus is probs because norton anit picked it up.
also don't 4get antivirus's don't 'stop' virus's entering your system. it protects it from it.0 -
