I wanted a reduction in sky price.
Was paying £83.40 for Family/sports/line rental/broadband.
Called and asked for a reduction. Was offered £5.90 off so I cancelled.
I then downloaded the sky service app from google play. As soon as I logged in it offered my half price tv for 12 months.
Next day I got an email offering me free line rental for 12 months.
Called them and said I'm interested in both and they gave me both. Subscription now reduced to £36.75.
did I stick too soon? 54% reduction i thought was pretty good though.

I was offered 10% off for 12 months on our tv package (got free unlimited broadband until Nov 2016), told them I wanted to cancel..... after a few days changed our mind and they offered 12 months half price and £100 instant credit to our account..... was paying £55ish a month, reduced to £39 for tv, unlimited phone and broadband.0

I cancelled our Sky package (paying £88pm) and they offered me a price of £73pm, which I declined. The following week they offered me £60, which I declined. I then got a letter in the post this week offering me everything for £53pm and a £50 credit. That was enough for me as we were planning on moving to Now TV for that price. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Spot on - when negotiating with Sky (or anyone else) you need to have a target figure in mind -and a top limit - when I last played the game with Sky,my target was £5 per week with a top limit of £8 -I got the package I wanted for the equivalent of £4.97 per week ,when you take the £100 bill credit into account.:Tchristaitfife wrote: »If you are happy it is a success - surely?0
