Poor PEP

In 1998 I invested £5K in a PEP. Today it is still worth less than the original investment! Before I cut my losses & run, is it worth complaining to someone about bad fund management ? Other investments over this nine year period of time have done OK. Furthermore, I took advice free from my bank (with no association whatsoever) to keep them, they were on their "stay put" list

PEPs dont make or lose money. The investments you hold within the PEP do that.

No. Investment returns are something you cannot complain about.Furthermore, I took advice free from my bank
Banks dont give out free advice.
You have told us nothing about the investment you hold so we cannot comment on the quality. All you have told us is that you have a tax wrapper and there is certainly nothing wrong with a PEP as far as tax wrappers are concerned. Taking out of the PEP could be a very silly move whereas a fund switch could be all that is required.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
