    Morning all.

    Hugs to everyone who needs them, particularly Ziggy.

    Last night I ended up cooking something different for dinner but made a big thai curry using up the beef, so will have that for dinner tonight and enough to freeze a portion for me and OH.

    Today I have/will:-
    * Check banks
    * Use free moisturiser
    * Check if hoover bag needs changing - it didn't
    * Make smoothies for breakfast
    * Re use sandwich bag to freeze banana
    * Load of washin on an eco wash
    * Take lunch to work
    * Snap receipt (attempted 7 times but phone keeps crashing! Not sure its worth it for 1p but I will persevere!)
    * Charge phone in work
    * Make phone call in work (opened a letter addressed to old lodger which was from Robinson Way about a debt he owes - don't want this linked to my address!)
    * Check FPL
    * Check Luckyphone
    * Earn more on OnePoll
    * Earn more Swagbucks (nearly up to £5 - not sure I'll bother again!)
    * Go to circuits
    * Dinner from stores
    * Wash hair and let dry naturally

    That's everything I can think of for now. Hope you all have a good day.

    Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

    Ally your comment about delivering the letter without an envelope made me laugh out loud. Brilliant

    My energy bill was high last month too but I can't blame anything but our use of the tumble dryer. I have given up on that battle whilst life has been so hard elsewhere. It's on once a day for about 90 mins at the moment. But from April the heating will go off unless it's dreadfully cold. So progress there.

    CCL - try not to feel too guilty, some time away from the work situation will hopefully do the world of good

    I'm back at work today - snuffling and feeling generally sorry for myself! I'm making myself do my two hours overtime as I haven't done any this week so far

    Quick trip to the charity shop at lunchtime (if it isn't chucking it down) to drop off a small bag of stuff

    List some barely-used hair tongs on staff classifieds. I've decided to chop my hair off in two weeks time :eek: I've had it cropped before and had lots of compliments - I just hope I don't regret it for the wedding and end up wearing a sparkly paper bag for the occasion!

    NSD and all meals from stores

    Surveys/ FPL to check later

    Afternoon Frugalistas,
    Hmmm. A day of 2 halves here so far. Was cracking on great, then 3 separate issues merged simultaneously, resulting in me wasting time having a big IT-related strop. Anyway, the good bits:
    *Cleaned whole house using minimal products & washable cloths.
    *Loaded towels into washer ready for a cheap overnight wash.
    *Finished meal plans for next week.
    *Wrote shopping list - just got to add the stuff I need to make a chutney & pickle I promised Mr f.
    *Did a survey
    *Made a list of jobs I need to do in town tomorrow.
    *Mr f rescued our Christmas tree which had blown down in the gales last night. Thankfully not damaged as we are hoping it will last us a couple more years yet.
    *Use-it-up meal tonight. Freezer yielded 2 pieces of frying steak which with a frozen sliced red pepper, an onion, garlic, ginger, the last of a packet of green beans, some broccoli & soy sauce, will make a decent stir-fry.
    *Sew up remaining knitted cat, assess how much stuffing I've got left & knit a final 2 or 3. The idea was to use up my stash by making some bits & pieces I can hopefully sell throughout the year. Also planning to use up some of my odds & ends of self-patterning sock yarn by knitting a few little pairs of baby socks. So much yarn in my stash, I couldn't close the lid properly!
    *Paid 2 x 50ps into my sealed pot.
    OK, that's my lot. Love to all, esp Ziggy today.

    Just downloaded an app called Receipt Hog where you snap your receipts from all sorts of places which you get points for and then can redeem for cash (or something like that!) I know we've got a few receipt snappers so thought I'd mention as not one I'd heard of before but spotted in someone's signature on the Make £10 a day challenge.

    Some late extras:

    * Went to the cinema to see "London Has Fallen" with OH. Got matinee priced entry. Took in contraband sweeties and drinks from Asda. Great film.

    * Sorted out a bag of low quality DVDs and books for Charity shop.

    * Dinner will be some sort of chicken and rice leftover special.

    * Do some interpreting online for friend for which I'll ultimately be rewarded with a few bank notes.

  • Hi guys :wave: haven't had a chance to read the thread so I don't have a clue what is going on for any of you! I will try to catch up later today... I've not been around as am having the busiest period I have had for ages! oh has been away all week, which has had quite a negative impact on dgd, while she doesn't have some of the more extreme issues that some kids in her situation have, there are clearly some attachment issues :(

    Just popped in to share my exciting news :j Ok so over the last couple of weeks I have made some BIG (sorry pippi!) decisions. I am currently applying to do a masters in psychology in preparation for apply to do a doctorate in clinical psychology and when I started looking into it the application needs to be in by end of April but we are going to Brasil 22nd March for 3 weeks so really I've got just under 3 weeks to get it done :eek:

    I've also decided to return to work now proper and a friend of mine (an old colleague who I met when I recruited her about 5 years ago) proposed to me we start applying for jobs together as a job share - as at our level pt jobs don't often come up. Great idea I thought so we've been looking & applying for interesting roles in our field. We had an interview today and was offered the post! :j

    Wow feels so good to be back to my old self again x
