Hi all

Does the above sign mean I can park my car from Friday eve to Saturday day if I am not a permit holder?

Sorry I am a bit bad at interpreting them.

only permit holders can only park during these hours, [usually] everyone else can park outside these hours.

If you are not a permit holder you can park there Friday 6pm but must move it before 8:30am on Saturday.

Look up the councils single yellow policy, most councils will allow people to park on single yellow on evening and weekends. If its he case you're better off finding a single yellow to park at friday night.

    Yes, I believe so.

These signs are often found around places where commuters would otherwise park - such as railway stations.

Yes, as long as you park after 6pm on the Friday evening, and shift it before 8:30 am on the Saturday morning.

note: if this is not your neck of the woods and you're a visitor/commuter then you should park on single yellow. Some residents can be territorial and block you in to force you to get a ticket. Recently I witnessed one driver gets his windows smashed and 4 tyres slash and a message scratch on the body saying "don't park in my spot" ater the driver mistakenly parked on a assigned estate parking bay. The guy moved to the area new and had no idea.

Worse bit of all is that this was on a Saturday (early morning) and in my borough Satursday are not controlled parking hours so the owner rightful occupier of the bay could easily just park anywhere in single yellow and call the parking control the following morning.

Now he's started a tit for tat war and may have his car destroyed in retaliation. I hope he gets a taste of his own medicine personally because doing tdamage to property like this is uncalled for,

Basically he has said, "anything parked in this spot belongs to the person who slashed your tyres" and the victim has the rest of his life to keep coming back with the paint stripper and the stanley knife.
If he leaves it 12 months, the miscreant won't have a clue who has done it, as he will no doubt have pee'd off a whole regiment of people since then.

There are some crazy people about.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

it's obvious to everyone apart from the police. The police can't do anything because there is no evidence of culprit...

However, if there is any retaliation in the short term, they will be straight round to the current victim, trying to bring the full force of The Law to bear on him. (Which is why you write it in your little book, bide your time, and you don't cross it out until you are even, if it takes 40 years ;))

I'm not one normally to encourage this, but in this case I would, monitor the same vehicle that parks in that spot for weeks/months and well do as you wish when time is right, but do it different (try and not get caught by a witness, cover up etc).

Not recommending this as a course of action, but I know of someone who had his car damaged in a similar incident and I learned the form of revenge taken.

Initial victim returned late at night and used a broomhandle to stuff lots of wet paper into the guy's exhaust, followed by a couple of potatoes, then pumped it full of fast setting filler. This split the exhaust, damaged the catalyst beyond repair and caused extensive engine damage when started. All carried out crawling towards the car and lying on his back, to avoid a camera.

    Dedicated revenge-taking!
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.
