chinagirl wrote:I have just bought the £69.99 Adventuridge 6-man tent from Aldi. This was after reading the thread about it, praising its quality, size and value. Lets hope it does the job. I will let you know after I've used it.
Chinagirl,
I too have the Aldi Adventuridge 6 man tent and I can vouch for it.
And it was at a great price.
Mine stood up to about six days of rain and some winds too.
It is ideal for up to four adults, in my view.
Stocks were in some Aldi stores for several weeks afterwards, but I expect they are no longer available now. I'm sure they will re-appear early next summer.
Talking of Aldi, campers might want to check out the following- this week, Aldi have packs of polyethylene sheeting on offer, which would give campers ideal and cost-effective groundsheeting or groundcovering, toto keep the undersides of your groundsheet dry or it would also enable you to waterproof luggage on a roof rack.
The sheets come in two options -
a) A pack containing one sheet of 4m x 3m
b) a pack containing two sheets each of 3m x 2m.
The material is strong, weatherproof polyethylene, with good quality aluminium eyelets and chording to secure the perimeters if required. The perimeter securing points also seem well reinforced too.
Here in the Republic, each pack costs Euro 7.49.
In the UK it's UK£4.99.
Much cheaper than the same type of product in local camping gear stores.0 -
Hi there. Its good to hear from others who have bought the same tent. And who are pleased with its performance. Tell me, how long did it take to erect? I still have not tried it yet, but going away in it end of next week for a few days. Do you need any more than 2 people to do it? Why I ask, is that I shall be camping with my 3 children, who know even less than me about putting a tent up. Still, I shall let you know how it went. We were OK with my previous (much smaller ) tent, and just hope not 'bitten off more than can chew' with this big one.keep smiling,

You could have a look at our new Tents-Sale.com which we launched yesterday September 16th, although the company have been around since the 1970's. I am busy working on this site at the moment.0
