Hello
Since 2pm today my pc internet connection went. I don't think wifi works on my phone at mo either. Been on phone to Ee for an hour and they seem clueless. When I try to sort on control panel (windows 10) it hives error code 651 but I've tried the usual connections. Was fine this morning.
Ee said they have an outage on their test equipment call back later! Any idea what it can be? I've never had this problem and the pc is fairly new. Thanks for any advice!

Is EE your broadband provider?
Did you try switching the router off/on?0 -

Is this of any use http://www.error651.com/“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

Thanks - I have spent two hours on the phone to EE - the tech guys have been very patient and helpful. Turns out the problem is caused by Windows 10 or a fault with the wifi (built in LAN) in my pc. Not sure which yet but apparently wireless adapters commonly disappear with an upgrade to Windows 10 (which I did about two months ago).
I think I would prefer to go back to 8. Anyway for now I have it connected by Ethernet - had no idea I had the right cable but he talked me through it. EE sending me a cable to use for now but I have to troubleshoot the wifi and possibly get it fixed.0 -
Hi
Well if you can get a command line, and type
ipconfig -all >> c:\wifi.txt
this will make a text file showing your network adapters.
then type notepad c:\wifi.txt and you will see a listing.
Copy and paste the Wi-FI part here and there may be someone able to help.
If in doubt please ask. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

W10 is a known total pain for wifi and sound drivers, particularly on older machines..........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Thanks johndough - where do I type 'notepad' etc? I don't think I know how to get a command line. Thanks.0 -
Thanks - I have done this now. No listing comes up. It remains blank. I think the problem is the pc cannot find any wifi or pick it up. Thanks. The EE guy connected remotely on my pc and couldn't do it. Any suggestions for anything else I could try? If not I may have to take it in to someone to fix?Hi
