Regretting quitting my job

Why confusing? Your manager is not the sole decision maker on recruitment. The 'standard' contract conditions might have changed since you first started there (working hours, holidays, pensions...), also it's possible that the position is no longer available (recruitment freeze, cut-back).loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0

What is it you're regretting? What happened in the meantime to make you think you made the wrong decision? Is it just the fear of the unknown? Don't let anxiety rule your life away. Unless something specific happened since last Friday, go ahead with your initial plans, there must have been a reason why you decided to look for another job.0

Keep in mind unless you are very lucky and they allow you continued service (which it sounds like they won't) then you've also lost any benefits related to length of service (if applicable). Things like holiday levels, pension etc.0

and the biggie , any job security for 2 years , though to be fair that applys to your new job as well , but if you go back to the old job , and they need reasons to trim costs , you`ll be the first in line i wagerNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -
I once quit a job many years ago. I asked to go back the manager said NO..
I suppose if you decide to leave a job then you don't want to work there anymore.
I have learnt from that experience..
There's no harm in asking but don't expect open arms cause there's always someone else waiting in the queue.0 -
Oh for goodness sake. You've left. Move on and keep some dignity.0

If you were a valued employee, no doubt they would take you back on.0

You may have to accept inferior terms ergo I wouldn't go back.0

demand a 20% pay increase when you go back to your old employer.0
