Overall, as i said, he paid probably a couple of thousand less - which seems to be typical once you look beyond the "headline figures" of RRP against import price.

Instead of trying to score point you should learn to read properly.

If you do so you will realise that he paid extra to have airbags fitted, hence the lack of a MoMo wheel as standard on the UK Model. It had a leather airbag wheel that looked like he one fitted to the non WRX Imprezas or the Legacy of the time.

When he sold it about 3 years ago he got the same price as the rest of the used WRX that were in Autotrader at the time.

So the urban myths about loss of residual values due to buying an import was certainly irrelevant if it actually ever existed.

You say you were in the trade for many years and you still think you could get a discount on a WRX back then?

How big a discount did you negotiate on your new WRX?

Found your post very interesting. How do you sell your 'old' vehicle when getting a new one? PX to Motorpoint or sell elsewhere/privately?
