                    A reply from my MP
In Mid february, I wrote to my MP regarding the complete scam that motorists were facing.
The main highlights were:--
1: That the BPA and POPLA were not fit to function as an association and least of all as a proper appeals service
2: That the IPC/IAS/Gladstones were clearly set up to scam motorists and they are not in the interests of the general public
3: That the DVLA actually allows this huge scam to happen by providing private information and in particular those PPC's who are already known to practice fraud
4: That Judges in County Courts seem unaware of the scam and should be brought up to speed and be aware of these unscrupulous operators. In particular, PPC's who are using scare tactics with regards to the Beavis case
5: That if a motorist loses against these scammers, it should not affect their credit rating with a CCJ which in turn may well create a problem with getting loans or mortgages. The current credit reference agencies have no facility to detect a scammer or fraudster. The public must not be penalised using monopoly money as used by PPC's
6: That the time period a PPC can legally chase for monopoly money be reduced to 6 months
7: That to the general public and voters, it now appears that government is supporting this scam
Today I received a reply:-
Dear Mr .....
You will be pleased to know that I have raised this issue with Andrew Jones MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport.
I will contact you again when I receive a substantive response
Andrew Jones was elected the Conservative MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough
As government are fully aware of these issues, everyone should write to their local MP or Andrew Jones direct.
This is now firmly in the hands of government to stop this scam, unless of course they approve the scam, we must wait and see

The Department for Transport has a standard brush-off letter for these which they will send to your MP, who will pass it on to you. I've got a file full of them.
Presumably the DfT's refusal to take these matters seriously, and its addiction to its 7-figure annual rake-off from the PPC's, is why governmental responsibility for private off-street parking was removed from the DfT and handed to the DCLG.
It remains to be seen whether the DCLG can exercise any influence over the behaviour of DVLA.0

But we know that already ..... and then my MP will get a rejection letter demanding answers ... it is our right to do so.0

Yawn. Been there, done it. As usual you are not coming up with anything new or radical despite your constant attention-seeking here.0

How does "monopoly money" come into all this?5: That if a motorist loses against these scammers, it should not affect their credit rating with a CCJ which in turn may well create a problem with getting loans or mortgages. Once again you post something that could mislead newbies. How many times are you going to post without thinking? There should be a permanent warning to newbies to ignore you!
Newbies should not be put off defending a court claim by the thought they will end up with credit problems if they lose
If you get a CCJ your credit rating isn't affected at all unless you ignore it or fail to pay it off in full within 30 days.0

I have a similar brushoff letter via my local MP some 2 years ago by a different MP and DoT lackey of the time, but as mentioned above the real question should be why are the DoT being ivolved when its the DCLG ?
if its due to the DVLA being mentioned then ask yourself why hasnt it also gone to the DCLG too ?
 https://www.gov.uk/government/people/greg-clark
as mentioned above, its S.S.D.D. and until we get NEW answers to these age old questions from BOTH departments and BOTH MP,s in charge of them then nothing will change0

The so called brush off letters are common place, its how you handle them. We ALL need answers as to why government allow this scam. I will simply wait for a reply0

you say YAWN but how do you think we all feel when we have all done this long before you got involved in this topic ?
I have just dug out my letter and its dated SEPTEMBER 2014 and from Robert Goodwill MP on behalf of the DoT
thats 18 months ago, so dont expect your reply to be any different than mine which was a crock o s***
so it will be , different MP, same crock
I would be more worried that your MP hasnt contacted Greg Clark !!
I know you mean well but your reply means nothing yet, its what I got from my MP over 18 months ago, before he sent me the Goddwill whitewash later
its like posting the news saying there is nothing to report0

As said I will wait, I actually know this particular MP and he knows me. But remember, what you and others did 2 years ago has no bearing on the Newbies coming here everyday. A lot has happened since your letter no doubt0

nothing has happened since I received my letter
my point is that newbies or not, your post today means nothing as your MP is obliged to reply telling you they have passed it on, the replies you are getting are from people who have done the same thing over the last few years (like myself) and got absolutely nowhere
if you had posted the reply from the DoT then that may be different, but your news today is non-news ! nothing in it matters as yet, its all hot air like mine was 2 years ago
post back when you have something to report, because today its YAWN time as I had similar concerns dismissed by the MP 18 months ago
 NOTHING HAS CHANGED0
