Cabin case recommendations

Hi all,
In the market for a cabin sized, wheelie carry on case. So far this John Lewis one fits size criteria for all the airlines I need it for.
Can anyone else suggest an alternative? Thanks!

If you are investing in a good one to last a while, consider that many airlines are likely to reduce the maximum size to 55 X 35 X 20cm.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

UK airlines use Boeing planes as well - the poster was merely trying to help, you make your own decision and speak to the airline of your choice before purchasing for your own peace of mind.0 -
I swear by our 'worlds lightest' (aka sub-O-G) at £30 or less from Matalan or Argos for the small carry-on size

Some reviews (thousands out there. here on MSE, on Tripadvisor...) say they are flimsy, but ours have lasted 15 years without damage as we only use then as carry on. Light enough to meet some carriers' 10 kilo limit - under 2 k- so little waste weight! And they used to fit Ryanairs' old size guage too0 -
I've got a 'World's Lightest' case too. It's great value for money and nearly 1kg lighter than the John Lewis case, so you can pack more in.0

It's just so damn ugly tho?! I know that shouldn't matter and in reality the external pockets etc would be a huge benefit for easy access to iPad etc..0 -

Third vote for this:j Very light, loads of room. If you do go for this, Mark with coloured ribbon on the handle just in case it goes into the hold. They are very popular now:D
You will regret purchasing something without side pockets. They are handy for passports, tickets and bagged toiletries.0 -

I would never put my passport in my bag. It's always in my trouser pocket because you never know what might go wrong. The obvious thing would be for the bag to get stolen but other things can go wrong...
I was once returning from Berlin and someone had put his passport in his cabin bag. Unfortunately when he went to board the plane he was asked to put it in the hold and didn't give his passport a second thought so he arrived effectively without a passport causing us all delays as the hold was searched upon arrival.0
