My wife has a Virgin pay as you go phone which is now changing to £10 a month for Unlimited minutes to landlines and 120 minutes to UK mobiles and 3000 texts. We tend not to use the Sky talk landline as it now cost so much so wondering if better to use her mobile for calls and she does text a lot or are there better deals out there for pay as you go ?

Thanks.

If you really need unlimited calls, for £10 she can get unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles, e.g. http://www.vectonemobile.co.uk/pay-as-you-go/offer/low-cost-international-calls-uk.aspx.

More realistic amounts can cost less.

Does it have to be pay-as-you-go? PAYG contracts are always so expensive...

I signed up to a Vodafone SIM-only a few months ago. I pay £10.50 a month and get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB data.

Dont forget the fact you also get the £10 credit to use in addition to the inclusive minutes/texts.

Sky Talk Anytime Extra (Monthly Fee: £8) Does include unlimited (subject to fair use) calls to 01/02/03 numbers ,0845/0870, and UK Mobiles.

It is important to note that deals with inclusive calls to 01 and 02 numbers must also include calls to 03 numbers. This should cover all of your calls to customer services for things you have bought, financial services such as banks and insurers, public services such as HMRC, DWP and local authorities, and healthcare services such as GPs and hospitals, as well as calls to utility providers and most other businesses.

Make sure the inclusive allowance has enough minutes to cover all of the calls you will make. If you exceed the allowance, things can get expensive.
