Just ordered the new Raspberry Pi 3.
If the performance improvements over the model 2 are half those of the model 2 over the model 1 I'll be a very happy bunny.
Looking forward to getting my weather station and other stuff off the model 2 and seeing how it performs.
The all I need is another project for the model 2. I put the model 1 in a robot when I got the 2nd one.
All ideas for projects gratefully received.

I wish they'd stop making new models so I have to buy them, very inconsiderate.
But I think I've just bricked my original Pi so I guess I'll have to order a Pi 3.
Not sure what this will do to the software base though. Having so many different versions can only make life more complicated, especially since the new one is 64bit.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
There's also going to be Wifi and Bluetooth Low energy built in... my son has already requested an upgrade to his RPi20

I backed a project called "jaguarboard" on kickstarter, which is an Atom based mini PC.. It should be turning up in a week or two and I'm intrigued as to what it'll be able to do ..! :-)Hello There. :beer:0

I like these Pi's and have a couple of ideas what I'd like to do, but while I might have the programming ability I don't have a clue about electronics or soldering, as you can tell by looking at my quadcopters.0

My problem is that there are so many good ideas it takes some deciding to pick the one that interests most and I bet there are loads that I don't know about. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0
