We went to sunny beach years ago, before the 18-30 thing kicked off. I enjoyed the holiday, it was our first time abroad together, but the weather wasn't very good for a beach holiday. We went in September and only took warm weather clothes, but it was pretty cold and wet and we ended up having to buy jumpers!
I've also been to Zante and I hated Laganas so I wouldn't recommend that as a less seedy alternative. We stayed in Kalamaki, which is a much quieter and nicer resort. Laganas was rough and quite scary tbh!0
