hi, anyone know if there are any banks that offer a bonus for switching if the account your are switching from has no dd's or sto's set up?

    The last time I checked there were 3 such banks.

    Halifax is one
  • what are the other two please? i have halifax already!
  • HSBC but that runs out today, if you can apply today before midnight it may be a possibility plus switch within 30 days?

    I switched to Halifax using one of my existing accounts. You don't need to be a new customer.

    Not for nothing is it called the current account switching service (CASS)

    Additional question, which banks are good for being donor accounts? I am going to have alook on the forum as well.

    Ideally a bank for which you are already registered for internet banking etc, so that you can open the account and have it up and running almost immediately. You can then get the necessary direct debits set up while you wait for your debit card to arrive.
  • First Direct are offering £125 for switching to them. I got a £500 overdraft with the first £250 interest free, too.
