Morning all,
Little Evie has settled in so well, she is absolutely tiny only comes half way up my calves but in a typical terrier fashion is scared of nothing and a little bit bolshieshe heard next door in the garden and went up to the hedge and told them off, but this morning I put the washing machine on and the noise scared her, she came running back into the lounge hid behind my legs and barked at it :rotfl:
She had a great night I took her up to bed with usand she spent the night snuggled up between us we did not hear a peep all night, she has been clean in the house, but really doesn't seem to need to wee very much she has only been twice in 24 hours, although I think she has been used to holding it as she was left alone for hours
She is only 8 months old and its sad that she has been left so much.
She is a delightful tiny dog and has found her forever home.
Today we are going to get her some treats and a couple of toys ( she keeps stealing OH's socks :rotfl:) so that I can start training her, she knows sit already, then we will take her for 1/2 hour walk and increase it slowly every day, so eventually she will be able to come on our really long walks with us.
Sorry for the long doggie post, I am just thrilled to have a little companion again
Have good days all xx0 -
RR that sounds lovely. Sorry I didn't realise she was a little girl and what a lovely name.
It sounds as though you are going to have lots of fun and love with her and many cuddles

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]Gers I caught up with Jethro too! And the new NCIS New Orleans. What do you think of Jethro's new hair cut? I wasn't keen on the marine style he had, this is so much better I think
Yes, it suits him, the marine cut was just so aggressive! Mind you, talking of haircuts - what about the new one on the woman agent in New Orleans? It's gone frothy!candlelight_2013 wrote: »
We are both doing Dr. Michael Moseley's 8 week blood sugar diet and it is going very well. Hard for Himself to start with not having potatoes with a meal, but he is used to it now. He really enjoys the bowls of salad I prepare for him because I always try to make it interesting and we are having lots of veg as well.
I have the book on my table here beside me and just about to start planning, I'm hoping that it's good as it sounds. I have today and tomorrow to eat up the remaining birthday cakes!0 -
Gers I hope you enjoy it. My downfall, as I have always known, is bread. I haven't found it as hard as I thought. I am diabetic anyway and my BG was creeping up and I was very concerned so I thought drastic action.
My BG has now come down from 13 to 8.2. with the help of medication as well.
I didn't do it for the weight loss, but believe me it is coming off, and as Dr. Moseley says, from around the middle area because that is bad fat. We will be in to our third week tomorrow and really pleased.
Good luck and enjoy the rest of your birthday treats before you start it.

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, we are both still in bed, getting up shortly.
My sons daughter is driving me nuts, she has been given the administration of her fathers estate, had to pick a second person so picked Nicks dad. The mothers of the other 3 children had to give consent, one has signed, the other, has refused, she thinks that she is going to get diddled out of money. Does not realise she is going to get nowt, any remaining cash will be split between the 4 children and apart from the interest she cannot get her hands on any of it. It will be in trust until the children are 18.
My ex spent hours yesteday trying to get her to sign. The woman is as thick as two short planks, does not understand that if she is not careful the solicitor will get the lot in fees, the bill is already £3000.
All this is doing my heart no good at all.0 -
Hugs Csarina, we are going through the same carp here, hubby has decided to walk away as it was all proving too stressful for him, we weren't doing it for the money, we were trying to protect FIL.

Deleted_User and Hester, that all sounds dreadful. I hope Deleted_User that people start to see sense soon.
RR your little dog sounds a right delight, I no longer have a dog, my two ladies died of old age a while ago, I miss having a little dog, I really do. I have scrubbed tge bathroom and accidentally spilt water all over the kitchen floor.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning all,
Heads a bit fuzzy this morning, shared a bottle of wine (and a limoncello) last night - been ages since I drank that much, so apologies for not acknowleging all the news - have read, and new furbaby sounds adorable, unlike DGD, who I hope gets exactly what she deserves - as for your son,s ex - what's is wrong with people, she should be supporting her grieving child, not holding her hand out for money....
Last night planned a dinner of Pheasant breast, from freezer stash, ended up that the pack I dragged out was a solitary woodcock, not much use for dinner for 2, DH ran out and grabbed a couple of steaks which we had with dauphinoise pots and spinich and the woodcock breast ended up as a starter with a watercress salad and caramelised onions - I had made meringues earlier in the day, so pavlova for pud.
Today's offering will be Aldo minted lamb steaks with LO dauphinoise and remaining watercress salad - 2 meringues left, so may have to use them up too
All 3 kids are abroad this weekend - at least I,ve raised them to be independent
Off to run the dy$on round and swap the washer to the dryer and refill
Take care all XNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Good morning everyone,
It's dry and windy here today. I have stripped our bed and it is in the machine and will hang it out when its finished. Got to clean our bedroom and make the bed.
Yesterday I got all the washing dried outdoors and ironed. I hung it up to air and will put it all away shortly. I also cleaned the house yesterday, as we have DS's GF and DD's BF coming for dinner tonight. DH is working so I hope he will be back in time. I am going to make a quorn chicken pie with roast potatoes, yorkshire puds and veg. I will make a pineapple upside down cake for pudding and I also have bought a cheesecake so I hope it all goes well.
((((hugs)))) to everyone.
TA good to hear you are feeling better.
