Am I right in thinking that 1899 have increased their w/end call rates to uk mobiles from 2p to 3p/min? These now cost the same as 18866 (apart from the connection charge). Anyone know when this took affect?

The voice prompt is still telling me 2p/min as of 10:30 15th May, and I was billed 2p/min for the calls I made yesterday.
So I don't think it is in effect yet, but might be coming soon?0 -
I think you're right - their home page certainly shows that price.fbrj wrote:Am I right in thinking that 1899 have increased their w/end call rates to uk mobiles from 2p to 3p/min? They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0 -
This actually makes 18866 cheaper for these type of calls then, since their connection charge is 1p less than 1899's.0

I saw it on their home page this morning - I haven't called any mobiles yet to find out for sure0 -
Rates have definitely increased. A 25 min call to a mobile today (Sunday 15th May) has already shown up on my invoice for 78p!!0

A bit naughty of them

Funny thing with these guys is that because they significantly beat other provider's prices, they would need some major price hikes to lose their number one position.0 -

3p from my BT home phone if I dial 1899
2p from my BT home phone if I dial freephone 08081707474
2p from my mobile if I dial 08081707474
2p (and no connection charge) if I use voip0 -
Was that using the 1899 prefix from a BT landine or the 0808 freephone number?Umer wrote:Voice prompt still telling me 2p/min as of 17:09
