I've complained by email, and they are sticking their guns. But I'm still arguing my corner.
Doctor Duke, Have you successfully switched one YB a/c for another YB a/c & got the bonus?0 -
No I'm using a co-op account to switch to the same YB account. I can see nothing in the new terms that prevents this : just have to read the first paragraph on the terms :-) I will know in about 50 days lol0

I've just setup 2 DD's on a donor account ready to switch to YB, is it better to open the YB acc then switch when it's up and running or just open by switching straight away please?0

If you apply for a YB account on line it will give the option to switch your account. Make sure you really do have two direct debits active.0

Thanks, they will be when I switch, they're set for Mar. 100 -
Sorry OP - but you didn't comply with the terms of the offer. You didn't switch two active DDs as part of the switch - you cancelled them and reset them up yourself.
I can understand why YB aren't paying up - you didn't meet the terms.0 -
Don't get salty about it just switch a 2nd account to your YB account. Apparently I accidentally cancelled 1 of my DDs in the second month so I've just sent off to move another account to my YB account. Was told there's no time limit between opening the YB account & requesting the switch so no worries; just a couple months more to waitMortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)0 -
Persistence has paid off. I emailed YB CEO with my complaint and today I received a letter.
"Having reviewed your concerns. It is clear genuine efforts were made to qualify for this incentive payment. Therefore, I believe it is reasonable to credit your YB a/c with £150 as a gesture of good will on this occasion.
The money is in my a/c.0 -
If it's a "gesture of goodwill" then technically you haven't received a switch incentive so it may be worth setting up another account with 2 DDs and switching it too.0

I think I'll now switch to Halifax & set up another a/c to switch to YB for hubby.0
