WOW!! They were amazing!! What a day for Bangor at last. I really hope it all went off without a hitch (I mean before and afterwards with people arriving and leaving) and that the residents around the area were not annoyed. Well done to Bangor council for actually letting such an event go ahead. It seemed very well organised and everyone seemed to have a great time.
Did anyone else go? What did you think?
:T :T :T

Apparently fab,
Well done Bangor Council for having the vision to run the event0 -
What an amazing night.. great atmosphere, great weather, great bands.
however, my only gripe is.. having to wait about an hour and having to buy 4 drinks at a time at the start of the night.. but at the same time, the bar staff were really quick and efficent once you got to get served!0 -
wish i could have gone but ah well i had to go and move to liverpool 2 weeks too soon didnt i? My sister went and stood in ward park with her friends to have a bit of a listen from outside - she said it was fab and that somebody told her they r thinking of making it a regular summer thing? that would be cool and id be bloody banging on their door begging to help arrange that when i get home if they do!0

yip yip yip
what a great night
i have to say even when i was standing there i wasn't overly looking forward to seeing them ( i was knackered and in bad form) and i kinda thought of them as a better album act than a live one.
.... then snow patrol came on and WOW!!!
they were fantastic they OWNED bangor last night ( well at least ward park)
my defo highlight was when they played Open you Eyes and did a take on thier video ( the one with the racin car round paris) they didi it with a car coming from the oddesy down the carrigway and into ward park .... awesome!!!
i have to sat welll done to bangor council for putting it on and i hope it becomes a regular thing
if you know any one who was there tell them to email the council or post on thier web site

As many know I am often a tiny tiny little miniscule amount critical of the public service/government/council etc. This was a fantastic coup for Bangor council. Unfortunately we missed most of it (being elsewhere) but we caught the last 10 minutes or so and saw some of the fireworks (and we didn't have to leave our house)

I sat in the back garden of my mum and dad's (Moira Drive) with a friend and listened to it as the rest of our gang had tickets and we didn't. Those who did go seemed to really enjoy it, and when we were walking to a friend's afterwards, there seemed to be plenty of garden parties in full swing
A friend of mine as supposed to be getting the train back to Belfast (though that didn't last long when she was offered another vodka and coke!), and was planning on getting the last one of the night at 12.45am, so good on Translink too for laying on extra trains!0 -
:T I was at the concert too. Brrillllllllllliaaannnnntttttttttttttttttt. superb day out. real buzz about bangor. went to a couple of before hand parties. loved the personal touch of snow patrol talking about their childhood, where they played, talking about local places and the photos of bangor and NI flashed up on big screens were first class. l oved it all. :Thappiness is being able to have one more drink0

Shame that the police were there to keep things out. Snow Patrol should pay for the police time, not us tax and rates payers.0

? Uh!? What kind of stuff?
Surely the police needed to be present with such a large amount of people in one place.
They are present over the 12th, during the fireworks display at Christmas and probably countless other occasions that I cannot think of at the moment. Why would they not have been present on this occasion?0
