BT Mobile Amazon Voucher Claim Process

I picked up a sim only 2Gb 500min deal for £10/mo (if you live in a house with BT broadband) £35 Quidco cashback, and a £30 Amazon voucher from BT Mobile. If you value Amazon vouchers as cash-equivalent, that's £4.58/mo, for the 12 month commitment.

The voucher claim process has been designed to be difficult to use, demanding a "VOL reference" with no explanation for what that is (and it's NOT in any of the emails, despite what the internet will tell you.) It also demands an "Order reference". The order reference cannot be more than 18 characters, but the one you are given is 20 characters.

The solution is as follows: log into My BT, go to http://www.bt.com/ordertracking and you will see your VOL reference. Make sure you use the right one if there's more than one. Put NOTHING in the "order reference" box - turns out it isn't mandatory. Fill out everything else with your details and submit.

I've not got mine yet, but it seems to be the right way to go about it. Loads of people online complaining about the 20 character order reference and not being able to find the VOL reference so I thought I'd put something on here about it. The cashback offer on quidco expires at midnight tonight, but both it and the Amazon voucher are available until then.
