last weeks thread ~ http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=531457Good afternoon lovely DFWs
Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.
Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!
Moozie x
welcome all... I hope you have had a great week and kept it low... and are you ready to be turned red/green? Everyone can join, just post a target in keeping with you/your debts/your spends, don’t worry about everyone else’s budgets. Then each day post on the daily spends thread and add them all up ready to post the following Sunday. The challenge runs from Sunday to the Friday... everyone welcome...

Hi Moozie,
This is my first time doing the weekly challenge! I aim to spend £0 until Friday! I have done my weekly shop and have my pack lunches for the week and my petrol to get to work so anything else is not necessary! I dont think I have EVER gone 6 days without spending (hence the huge debt I have) but am determined to get my spending down to the bare min.
Good luck all xxProud to be dealing with my debts!

well, I kept to my £15 budget (mainly cause it was all I had!) and have £1.57 left, which I'm rolling over into this weeks £40 budget... I'm going *mad* cause its payday, and I need a haircut!0

I'm red again, I spent £49
Am finding it very helpful including everything in my total though, as it's giving me a much better idea of where the money goes. Am still within total budget for the month at least, but will have to be careful for the next couple of weeks. Target for this week £16, as that's what I've got in my purse!
Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Nothing all week
How good is that! The only money I've spent out is being returned to me
I have £90 for the month so £15 per week for SeptemberNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Morning PaP - you didn't mention my name in your opening post.
I put myself down for £20.00 and only spent £8.67.
I'm going to try to do the same this week, so can you put me down for £20.00 again, please.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Morning
(oh... good afternoon, rather
)
I am having another NSD today as I'll be stuck in the loft sorting out what needs packing and what needs recycling, charity-shopping, or throwing away.
I've started the weekly challenge before but not kept track of my spends, well with moving house money is going to be tight so I need to have a bit more discipline.
That said I'll allow myself £60 this week as there are baby bits to buy and probably things we're going to need in the new house that I haven't thought of yet. I've got plenty of vouchers though at the moment, for John Lewis, Boots, and Amazon so I'll try and keep well within my limit0 -
Please put me down for £10, £5 of this will be new school trousers. I am getting my food shopping today and have filled up with petrol I need. I am on a course tomorrow so get a free buffet! I am going out on Thursday evening but will spend no more than approx £4.00 There should be no need to spend any extra money this week.Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0
