what have/will you spend sunday 19th aug 07 and moozies weekly challange...

Good afternoon lovely DFWs

Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.

Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!

Spent £9.42 last week so under :j BUT I need to have a rethink of my budgets as too many things are creeping in to the 'everything else' budget :o So I think this week I'm going to give myself £40, which is to include EVERYTHING I spend in cash - bus fares, some postage, any food at work, mobile credit, any evenings in the pub and a planned meal and night out on Friday. Don't get paid till Thursday so most of the spend will be at the end of the week! The only things that won't come out of there are groceries and toiletries which are coming from the grocery budget. I NEED to be strict this month as I've got a few days holiday just before next payday and I need to have money left for that... thankfully not every week will be as expensive as this one.. I hope!

Today is looking like a NSD, was meant to be going out for a few drinks this afternoon but it looks like I've been let down.. at least it saves me money, eh?

Hope you all have a good week x

  • Hi everyone

I haven't been very well so not posted much in last few days - This has stopped me spending money though, which can only be a good thing!

Last week was ok - £3.95 on work expenses and £6.00 on hospital parking so £9.95 in total. This was helped by the fact I was poorly and have not been out anywhere, so no temptations to buy some nice goodies.

I'm not at work for most of this week (making the most of some holiday I need to use up) so no petrol spends or anything like that.

As I therefore have nothing to specifically spend my money on, then I will allow £5.00 this week.

    Good luck everyone

A nsd so far for me today, was going to buy some glue to fix bed but found some in the garage. Made a little bit - £4.50 on ebay, everything helps towards the electric bill.

  • Need petrol today, about £20 worth as going to take the kids to Paignton Zoo this week.

Only spent £25.75 last week! That includes petrol and parking at the beach! Mind you, didn't go out very much which helps.
