i know its a little early, but i have work in the morning so will start it now :D
Good afternoon lovely DFWs

Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.

Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!

Definately early cos you've confused the date! :D It's now Sunday the 12th!! Not 11th!

A NSD planned today, got nothing to get and post office is closed so can't pay my water rates til tomorrow.
Going to take poochie up to Central park when I finish at 6am, there is usually a car boot sale on Sunday mornings up there, so I think I will enquire prices and such of getting a pitch.

Hope everyone has a great day.

It's my mom's birthday today and we're out at lunch time for a family meal at the local carvery. Should be under £10 all being well - will update later.

I also want to join Moozie's challenge if that's ok? My budget for the week is £40.00

    Have a good day:D

Think I'll have a go this week, I'm in a positive frame of mind. It's payday this week so I'm going to pull the reigns in and go for £20.00.

Can't get at it for two days anyway so that's a good start. Will take the kids swimming and possibly beach again so that should cover it.

I went over budget this week by.... 12p! :o

Going to try to cut down to £10 this week - hopefully less as I really need to spend as little as poss in the next couple of weeks, will mean a bit of walking to and from work so hopefully the weather will be alright (she says, watching it suddenly go dark and cloudy outside )

Only spend today should be food shopping.. if I can be bothered doing that!

Hi PaP - I'm still not ready to get back into the full weekly challenge - although I actually spent NOTHING last week. :)
I need to hang on to any spare cash, to throw at my job search - I was offered a job, when I went to Italy two weeks ago, but it is 'commission only' and I don't have the money to fund myself during the initial period - I am working at it though.
So, I will continue to post any spends as usual - just not going to set a target.
    Cheers PaP

Well I think I came under this week - £6.32 but thats only coz of a bit of blurring between this budget and my grocery budget. Hmmmm :o !

Oh well I'm actually under budget on both this month so  . Miracles will never cease!! :j

  • Hi PaP/everyone else

Just under for the last challenge - £18.49 out of £20.00

I will have to pay approx £5.00 on some work expenses this week (although it will be claimed back next month) and some hospital parking later on in the week (not too sure how much it will cost, but I will allow £7.50 just in case).

Petrol and groceries (milk etc) are covered in a different budget so I will allow £12.50 this week.

Fogot to add - Aiming for a NSD today!

  • Need petrol today (sigh) so can either get 4 weeks supply for £40, or 1 week's for £10. Probably the latter, better for the cash flow.

I aim to have miscellaneous spending of £50 per week but have no idea if we manage it. I have just started a spending diary again (fell off the wagon for a bit!) so will monitor this. £50 sounds a lot but is between 5 of us and includes birthday pressies and other stuff not included in our normal budget!
