last weeks thread ~ http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=5881092#post5881092Good afternoon lovely DFWs
Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.
Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!

I've got a busy day ahead of me, hopefully I won't have time to spend anything (thou that was supposed to be the plan yesterday and I spend £42!)
I'm in work til 2, then walkies, then off to poker tonight (chips not cash!) and early start again tomorrow. So, (fingers crossed) a NSD.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Not planning on going anywhere today so NSD for me (3rd day in a row, woohoo!)
Have got to go out to lunch with some people i work with this week (been planned for the last couple of months or so) but sadly, i'm not particularly keen on any of the people i'm going with! They don't actually work at my company and I would prefer to save my dosh and go out with friends instead.
Anyway, not too sure where we are eating, but I reckon £15.00 should cover food and a drink and then an extra £5.00 as I may have to pay some parking in the week. (actually I can claim this back on next months expenses, so does that count as this weeks spend?)
If so then total for week is hopefully £20.00 and if parking doesn't count as claimed back, then £15.00 for week.Debt free since May 20150 -
Hello Pap and all challengees,
Hoping for a NSD today.
Came in at £21.20 last week - better than I thought, so hurray!
Have booked a holiday for september to go and see fiance as he is abroad with the Forces, so need to have a very low spend time until then as far as possible...
So for next week, am going to try for £10 - please please feel very free to tell me off if you see me floating towards higher spends!0 -
Well last week was a bit strange as I was off sick for three days so no bus fares etc, but had to buy cough & cold stuff, which probably shouldn't go on this budget but as I'd only spent £6 on normal stuff before I went off it can do! Add about a fiver on things from Boots on my way home to spend days on the sofa, so I'll say £11 which is under-budget! :T
Will go for £12 again this week. Not sure if/ how much I'll spend today, no plans as yet!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Morning all
Have got to buy some fuel today but have got 5p off per litre voucher for Mr T's so should come in at about £30 for today. Apart from that not going anywhere:rolleyes:
Will probably join in weekly challenge next week - have started up my spending diary again from the start of August so will see how I do then set budget for next weekOfficial DFW Nerd - Member 408 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
Hi PaP, and everyone - I am hoping for another No Spend Day today.:T :T
I am just about to settle down in front of the 'telly' and watch the Grand Prix - much to the annoyance of my wife, but it is the ONLY sport I follow.
PaP - I don't feel that I can enter the challenge, again, this week, as I'm still trying to sort out my new business partnership and may have to go to Yorkshire, which would make a mockery of any budgeting. The 'Foot and Mouth' announcement didn't help as I will be working with the Meat Industry, but it seems they may have traced the outbreak to a 'leak' from a vaccine production unit. Fingers crossed, for EVERYONE who is affected, that this WAS the cause and that any effects are minimal.
I will, as you know, watch and report my spending. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi PAP. I noticed JamieDodger had posted this, today, but on the last week's thread so I thought I would copy & paste it so she doesn't get missed.
"oops went over! bought some extra drink for the party so ended up spending £20 instead of a tenner (that included my pizza). having said that i have gained as there is more drink in my fridge this morning than i originally bought lol, which should mean that i dont have to spend out anything next weekend:D result!!
this coming week should be a cheap one personal spendswise, we are going camping and i am taking bottle of wine from collection lol and some library books for the evening when kiddies are asleep:) so tenner again for me!"
Hope that helps.
