I have spent £8.54 on scrummy lunch bits today and then another £1.50 on a bottle of salad dressing.

That is waaaay too much for a lunch I know but we were going to go out today but fiancé was feeling a bit worse for wear after drinking alcohol in the sun yesterday  so I think I would have spent more if we had gone out!

As for this week's budget (not food & work bus fares) I am going to pledge
    the following:

    £80

It is an expensive week with a manicure booked, a dental hygienist appointment and I am going away at the weekend to see a pal. I really can't afford to go over - in fact anything less than £80 would be great to carry over to next week & use for bus fares.

    Good luck everyone.

  • I won't be able to show my face in public next week, I'm so ashamed. I've just looked and am I really the only one in red this week? So I probably won't be able to spend any of my £15.00 unless I send one of the kids to the shop.:rotfl:

Hey you are not alone - I forgot to post the other week and I was WAY in the red! It'll be a tough on for me this week so.....be brave!

You and I can sit red faced on the naughty step together next Sunday if we're over budget! :D

try not to worry... i was the same when i started doing this when moozie was running it, back in the days  :rotfl:Everyweek i would pledge and every week i would be over! It became a game really and then something clicked and i realised that if i change some of my habits i can stop it happening. However sometimes you will go over, i have been over twice in as matter of weeks... no one will 'punish' you... ok maybe not in the real world but i may bring back moozies naughty step :rotfl: not to worry hun... you will be green next week i can feel it :j

Evening pap and all you other guys too,

I have been on holiday for the last two weeks but am back now with a vengeance.

I have spent ALL day washing and ironing (and catching up with Eastenders omnibus), so have had a NSD.

This week I plan to spend no more than £30 - need petrol.

    Glad to be back :D

Broke my NSD run today :o

Finally ordered our new dinning table and chairs online using the rest of our john lewis vouchers we got as wedding presents and the remainder of the cash we received too (celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary last weekend so it's taken us a while to get to this point ;)) Anyway we were £17.98 short so that's come out of our current account.

And needed a new ironing board cover so walked over to homebase (about 10 minutes away) and got one - also got 2 half price house plants (including a massive one which OH had to carry home :o) and used £5 spend and save voucher I got sent so total spend £4.73.

So £22.71 out of current account on household things today - but resisted the temptation of a mcflurry as we walked past macdonalds and any other shopping so I'm still pleased.
