Galaxy S7 on EE- No VR Headset
Now I know this is a first world problem but when the new Samsung Galaxy s7 was announced, it was stated that all pre orders in the UK would receive a free set of VR goggles. interestingly enough EE have confirmed they will not be honouring this offer for some reason if you pre order directly through them.
As I mentioned earlier this in not a major issue in the big scheme of things, but how do they expect to retain customers if they choose to adopt this policy?. And as for what are they doing with the "free" headsets? selling them separately!
Has anyone else come across this yet?

EE are the only ones I've encountered (as yet) whom aren't bundling the 'free' VR headset to those who pre-order the new S7/S7 Edge. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0

Well, O2 aren't bundling it, and neither are 3. It is being offered at Carphone Warehouse however. I would say the Gear VR headset is definitely worth getting, it looks awesome. I watched the livestream of the launch and Samsung, along with Facebook, is really pitching the S7 as a phone for people to finally get home virtual reality. I'm not a gamer, but if I was, I would be chomping at the bit to get my hands on this phone, the VR games are going to be really cool. Personally I don't have time for gaming, I would be more interested in educational VR applications. They should arrive but I expect they'll take a bit longer. Samsung has done quite a lot work to make the S7 a state-of-the-art gaming mobile too. Look at the spec and you'll see it makes use of the new Vulcan API for cutting-edge mobile graphics that are on a par with gaming PCs. This means the full power of the multi-cores can be used for the gaming experience, and there's also a new copper cooling system so the phone can cope with it all.
Samsung have also been listening to consumers, because they've bought back IP68 standard waterproofing, which is a great real-world feature, and there's a microSD slot for up to 200GB of expandable storage. That should really please the mobile enthsiasts, and the only thing they've got to grumble about is that the battery is not removable. Personally I want one.0 -
I imagine the companies selling the phone without the VR headset have a deal with Samsung where they get the handsets cheaper without it.All your base are belong to us.0

The phone from a 3rd party retailer (RIP Phones4U) will almost certainly be unlocked and unbranded.
The EE version will be locked and full of BT/EE crapware.0
