am sure there would be a dodgy Pedro hanging about you could chuck a few euros at and keep it off the meter

How can waiting for and getting two buses be as quick as a taxi, not to mention if the bus doesn't drop you close to the hotel.
Buses are by far the cheapest way to do it but 'just as quick as a taxi'? I think not.

Two buses??? check your facts before saying that as you are wrong

Don't bet on it, the drivers at the airport stick together and will not risk keeping it off the meter, far more chance of adding to it

OK, one bus and a taxi,I stand corrected

Now could you please explain how waiting for a bus, the trip to the resort then a taxi ride to the hotel is 'just' as quick as a taxi from the rank at the airport?

As I stated " Depending on arrival time at the south airport" the buses on the island traveling both north and south on the motorway TF1 have their own lane as far up as the turn off onto the TF2 then rejoins on TF5 after the roundabout into its own lane again. All other traffic has to use the rest of the motorway to do the same journey and as travelling north much of the traffic is heading to Santa Cruz for the port terminal the main part of the motorway gets very busy with hold ups most of the way until you hit the turn for the TF5 making the bus either as quick or SOMETIMES quicker.
This I know will change in the next year or so as a new motorway {part open} is being constructed via the edge of Teide national park that will cut between 30/40 mins off the journey from the south airport to Puerto but to date this is not finished.
I do the trip from the airport to Puerto 3/4 times min every year and have done for over 20 years so I do have some knowledge of the journey.

The bus takes 50 mins to the North airport, then another 20+ to the resort + waiting time for the bus + the onward taxi. to travel about 50 miles
I also travel the TF1 very regularly and haven't noticed a dedicated bus lane for any prolonged sections, where is it?

I do not intend to argue with you, perhaps next time when you are on the motorway it may be an idea to look a bit closer to the lanes.
The OP will choose what they want to do to get to the resort so it is pointless to carry on with this.

Thanks guys for your help on this. Is the bus 13.55 euros for kids as well? Or cheaper for kids?

Looking at Google maps, it says it is 1 hour 25 mins, is this about right?
