British Airways Holidays? Car hire etc..

Is it possible to do this, I'm trying to price up flights & car hire with BA Holidays that bit is ok but I'd also like to add a one night hotel stay in an airport hotel and collect the car the next day, but it keeps coming up with this error message,

"Warning: Your selected hotel dates overlap with your package car booking. If you wish to proceed with your selected dates please press the search button again."

I can proceed and get a price but the car pick up date is set to the same dates as the flights, is there anyway to change the car pick up to the following day?

Only reason I'd like to collect the car the next day is the flight lands at about 10pm so it'd be well after that we clear the airport - thought this might be a bit late to collect the car!

I've tried Flights and Hotel with the thought I'd add the car as an extra at the end but then it puts in the dates for the whole holiday, so 2 weeks in the same hotel - I only want ONE night.

Ugh!! Its just dawned on me, BA holidays are going to be seen as a 'package' aren't they? so I can't be expecting to have flexibility can I? Bums!!

It is possible to do what you want to do (I was able to replicate it both ways above, with a little bit of fiddling), but your issue is going to be that at least online, you will not get the benefit of packaging unless either the hotel or the car is for the full duration of the trip.

This is because BA.com no longer picks up the G class package fares, it treats the booking as separate flight + hotel + car at normal rates. On a search I did (Tenerife for 2 weeks in April), the price difference for 2 people was £300.

I don't know if it would be different if you called them up, worth a try.

My guess is only a small number of flights have package fares that don't need the full duration of the trip for the hotel or car.

Probably best to call them.

All do-able but probably the consumer site doesn't have such flexibility. There sales centre agents should be able to tailor to your requirements.
