Urgent advice re ppi claim company form required

I had one of the calls from a PPI CLAIMS Firm tonight, and agreed to let them send me a pack to reclaim any PPI I may have paid. I have had many such calls in the past and always shut them down, but for some reason I "went with it" tonight, but I've since changed my mind.

I haven't got the forms yet obviously, and I no longer intend to sign and return them, but can someone just clarify as to whether the firm can now raise fees against me? I suspect not, but I've since read so many horror stories on this topic that I'm now very concerned I've done something stupid by even talking to them.

Don't worry, unless you sign the paperwork they can't act on your behalf.

if you have been mis sold PPI.
Shred the paperwork when you get it.

No, they can't charge you at this early stage. As long as you haven't signed and returned anything to them then there is no contract and nothing for you to pay.

The "horror stories" are normally about firms which charge a fee upfront, but the complaint process is simple and free. Don't waste your money employing any claims firm.:)
