How do I get my phone to connect to the pc without the cd?

Hi, Maybe just installing the usb drivers will work if all you want is to transfer files.

it says new drivers and software found. I clicked on run but still will not connect to pc, no phone tools appear.

If you go into My Computer is the phone recognised as an extra drive like a usb memory stick. If so clicking on it should, I guess, reveal folders where you can drag and drop files into the phone.

If you want the tools software specifically to manage your contacts, messages etc I noticed the Motorola site is selling it for £12.99 but its currently out of stock. Looking on ebay you can get the cd alot cheaper. I would imagine there is some freeware available you could use.
