Buying searches results from previous buyers

I see absolutely no issue with this. If you can buy the searches then I would.
There are obviously timelines that they should fall within (usually 3 months). If they are within that date, then go for it!
Otherwise, you can keep stalling and stalling, as any risk will always be there. What if something comes up between when you apply now and you exchange? What if something happens just after you exchange?
You can't mitigate all risk.0 -
That would be pretty masochistic on the part of the previous buyers. I would be more concerned with why the prev buyers pulled out??? Survey issue?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Sorry if I didn't explain properly, they didn't pull out, the seller "fired" them. They bid against us 4 months ago, we lost out because they (supposedly) had a much bigger deposit , also with no chain. At various stages there were alarm bells, 6 weeks in they had told their solicitors to "hold on", later on it turned out they were never planning on moving in, but instead rent the property out. 2 weeks ago, the seller was informed that they were refused their buy-to-let and in fact were now in a chain.
All this with the seller needing to complete before leaving the country to emigrate! As it is, he now will leave on Saturday not even having exchanged. A soppy letter to them all those months ago secured us first refusal, and here we are:beer:0
