It must be price. It's either price or some awful wallpaper you've got.

Well, you ranted but you let nothing out. Maybe its all your fault? Nothing you've posted would indicate otherwise :D

buyers who arrange to view an empty property and don't turn up. We no longer accept viewings from anyone who doesn't provide a mobile number, and we ring when we are going to head over to wait in an empty house for them. We buy wrecks, do em up and flog em so we do come across all sorts.

We had our open day on 23rd Jan, and the next working day accepted an offer from buy-to-let investors who insisted that we had to complete by the end of March so that they could avoid the stamp duty change. Suits us perfectly - always good to have a motivated buyer, and we don't mind renting if there's a gap between our sale and our purchase.

Well, although they quickly provided our agent with bank statements to show they had the necessary deposit, it turns out they then decided not to USE their cash on the deposit but to remortgage another of their properties, and it took 3 weeks to arrange that. Then the valuation on their other property came in lower than they expected, so they couldn't borrow as much on it, so they reduced their offer on our place. I could live with that if they now started getting a move on with their purchase, but there's still no sign of arranging a survey on our place - in fact, all they seem to have done in the last week is fired their solicitor and appointed a new one. Four weeks to go for them to exchange contracts - their new solicitor had better be bloody good.
